I'd like to know how pulling the Nunchuk back actually affects anything in the Archery game.  I haven't heard any Nunchuk+ yet.

Maybe the M+ can detect how far away the Nunchuck is from the Wiimote some how? Could there be hidden tech in the Nunchuck that sends out a signal that the Wiimote can read? Maybe it doesn't and its one of those "go-through-the-motions-because-it'll-feel-more-real/Wii Music" gimicks.

I love broken street dates. I should go check if any places in my area have done so.

I thought people were just assuming it was in NSMBWii.  It wouldn't work in a multiplayer environment.  Miyamoto said there were other methods of helping people play NSMBWii than demo play, or at least that's what I thought.

It is confirmed here.

Quote from: Yahoo Games
In an interview with USA Today, legendary Nintendo designer Shigeru Miyamoto confirmed that the company's rumored in-game help system (initially dubbed the "Kind Code," but now tentatively called "demo play") will make its first appearance in the upcoming New Super Mario Bros. for the Wii, which hits store shelves this holiday.

Rather than forcing players to comb the web for cheat codes and walkthroughs, the new help system is built directly into the game. If a player gets stuck, they'll have the option to pause play and allow the game to take over and play itself through any rough patches. Once they're out of the woods, players can hop back in and continue playing.

I saw my first M+ ad last night. It was for Tiger Woods. It showed Tiger connecting an M+ to a Wiimote and hitting a golf ball. Pretty nice.

It got me wondering if Nintendo will be using the "Wii Would Like To Play" ads for Resort and M+ or if they are going to change things up since M+ is so different and revolutionary. something to get people's attention that this is something new that changes the game on Wii.

If anyone wants to play at around 10:30 or so, I'm up for it.

Were you on the East Coast, Thomas?

that's about two hours from now. I think I'll hop back on at that point. I need a bit of a longer break this time. I want to get some chores done.

Ian hasn't hated on the game yet, guys. He even started that he wants to wait until some of the bigger sites rate it.

He's merely stated two things.
First, the hype doen't appear to go far beyond the core Wii fanbase (by that I mean the Wii-only crowd). So this doesn't look like it will be a system seller (my conclusion)

Second, initial reviews are not boding well for this game being a GOTY contender or a game that get's close to Galaxy rating.
Therefore the game might not garner more attention and support from other other 3rd party publishers and developers even though it is the market leader (also my conclusion, but one I think Ian would agree with).

It not like he's said he wants the game to fail. He is just stating observations and facts along with some thoughts on what makes a good FPS stand out from the crowd.

Let's wait to jump on him after he goes and judges the game without playing it. :)

Life has yet to be lived until you go out into the wilderness, be miserable in the rain and cold for a week being half starved, then go home and swear you'll never do it again, and do it next Summer.  :D

My Dad and I used to be big on backpacking until there was an incident. He got burned and had to go to the hospital. After that we only did small overnight trips.

Once a year a group of us go out for a weekend somewhere, usually at a beach and camp out. I play songs on my guitar and we take turns taking care of two of my friends toddlers while cooking random stuff on the fire. It's fun. I like to go camping avery once in a while, but I've never been to terribly gung-ho about it. Sadly I had to miss the trip this year because of my new job. Though I average going every other year so I guess it's a running pattern.

Taking another break. Players dwindled down to 3 and I lost my new milestone of 7k points before I could even celebrate.

If you own multiple consoles and wanted an FPS that had motion/pointer controls as opposed to traditional dual stick FPSes then I would imagine Conduit would be a big deal.

Arby's has the Jamocha shake. That should be enough, EasyCure.

Speaking of alternate uses for fries, I like dipping them in my Frosty at Wendy's. :thumbsup;

the same person that puts fries in his burgers also dips fries in his shakes too. I'm convinced he has eclectic tastes.

I've never heard of that Bronco Berry Sauce either and I always go to Arby's. I'll ask for some next time we go and give it a try.

Aren't WiiWare games designed for Wii awesome?

Amen. Too bad Frontier is too busy working on an HD project instead of Lostwinds 2.
I'm getting Icarian as soon as it hits stateside. I'm very jealous of the Euro crowd. Though they do deserve chances to get things first like this so I'm not bitter about having to wait.

After GK left I decided to take a break to chack here, make some tea and see if I needed to add anyone elses codes. Turns out I already have Vudu's from the last MK Wi-Fi night.

I don't have any IM stuff to my knowedge on this computer. It's not mine, so could you IM him, Maxi?

Not even in a nice cabin? I'm pretty sure that constitutes camping in most peoples books. It may be more of a camping 'lite' but it still counts if the location and setting are right.

What I want to know is what, specifically, it will do in New Super Mario Brothers Wii. Was that information already posted and I missed it, or are the specifics not yet known?

I don't think anyone (besides NIntendo) really knows how it will work.

From what I've read, it always struck me as a glorified link to youtube gameplay walkthrough videos. It could just link you to an online server that stores all of these help videos and you call the ones you want in the game. Though that's just my preconceived impression. I could be radically wrong.

I did notice you were one of the only karts there. You were faring well for the first half, but that second group of races didn't treat you very well.

@Mop it up
I Believe I read all of that post. I'll go over it again, just in case. I saw you were online when I hopped off for a bit. I'll be back on in a second.

I checked who's online and Vudu isn't online. Somebody want to IM him.
I don't have his IM info, so you'll have to if you can. I saw you online for a moment when I first got on but now it says your off.

I even started a thread in the Smacktalk board.

Do I have your code, vudu? I'll write it down from the MKWii FC thread just in case.

Yeah, I think it's just my nostalgia monster that is fond of the cardboard boxes. Memories of the feel and smell of opening a new game.

I still have Rayman 2 on the N64 I can't bear to open. One of these days I will.

Maybe it's just me then on the box thing. When I was young I kept them all on my shelf and I would actually keep the games in the cardoard boxes.

For the DS I just have a couple of the DS game cases that I cram all of my DS games in. I keep the most commonly played ones together so I can just grab that one if I'm going somewhere.

I think it is a fake. Though for your sake I hope Birdo is in it. That would make you a happy camper.

I love the feel of cartridges. Plus then maybe we could go back to the old cardboard game boxes.

I'll be sure to drop a thread there next time, Vudu and Pro.

Though I find it convenient here because since I have posts here it shows up on my "Show new replies to my posts" section. Since I usually reply to common threads through that feature I'll always see if people are rarin for a MK race here.

In fact, I wouldn't mind racing some more tonight if you guys are up for it.

No! Don't delete me!  ;)
Actually... to be honest, it could happen. I'm not making any promises. It will depend on how you evolve from here, but I'm not sure I'm liking where it seems like you're headed. You seem to be attracted to the big skill meanieface bikes and use the characters with the arrogant speed bonuses. If you're not willing to use karts or non-inward drifting bikes more often, you could get dumped.

I'm sorry but I'm pretty picky about the people I add to my list. There's only thirty spaces so they have to meet at least a few things on my criteria.
I thought we were pretty evenly matched, Mop it up, especially in the VS teams. Other than that last set, which was still fairly close overal, almost every race ended blue, red, blue red or vice versa.

You know which characters I like to play as, and that has nothing to do with their performance. I like to use Funky, Waluigi, Dry Bones, Rosalina and my Mii. On occasion I'll use Bowser or Diddy too. I use the Flame Runner because it fits my style. I didn't find out it was "the best bike" until after you told me. I merely saw it fit how I like to play on bikes and so I use it all the time. I lost more than enough times with it thit I didn't think it would have been a problem. Also, now that I've gotten a taste for bikes, I can't go back to karts. The way they slide differently is too much for me to handle.

:(
