EA’s line up reflects the priorities of the company’s four Labels -- EA SPORTS™, EA Games, EA Casual Entertainment and The Sims™. The EA titles demonstrate game play innovation in core franchises on the Xbox 360™ videogame and entertainment system and the PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system along with new categories of accessible games for more casual players on mobile phones, handheld devices and the Wii™ from Nintendo.

At a press briefing today, EA unveiled EA SPORTS’ FIFA 08 for the PLAYSTATION 3. The game delivers a football experience that matches the authenticity, finesse and beauty of the real-world sport. The FIFA 08 next-gen gameplay engine, built to maximize the power of Xbox 360 and PLAYSTATION 3 consoles, delivers animations and ball control so responsive players feel like they are on the pitch. FIFA 08 is the first football experience on the PLAYSTATION 3 in Europe this year.    


FIFA Street 3, in development at EA Canada for next generation consoles, will be shown in select behind closed doors sessions.    


The Leipzig Games Convention runs from August 22-26, 2007. The EA Booth is located in Hall 3, booth B02.

Army of Two™

Wait, EA is publishing Hellgate: London? Wasn't that game's developer the lead developer for Starcraft?

UERD: Hmm, it is a bit odd. I didn't here anything about EA being Flagship's distro. I thought Hanbit Soft and Namco Bandai had that covered

Apparently they are releasing a PS2 version, so maybe the Wii will get a port of the PSP version they port from the PS2 first.

Not quite.
Blizzard North were a small dev team that Blizzard bought in the 90's. They made the Diablo games.
Since then they left Blizzard or whatever, the team disbanded but Hellgate London is a spiritual successor to Diablo, and their dev team contains a whole bunch of people who worked on Diablo.

ALSO NWR: Alert! You didn't bold Sims 2 Castaways, it's coming out on Wii and DS.
