Aww, I wanted "Spore" for Wii.  :-\

Who knows, maybe this will be good. That one DS version was OK, I guess.

I'm still hearing mixed things about this game. Like ... spending more time with it garners some fun and whatnot. I don't know. I still want to rent it and try it.

Olimar for my main. He was someone whom I wanted to be in the game from the announcement. I'm still unclear about how the pikmin work, though. Can you lose them and they stay lost until your next life begins? Or are they regenerative. Though I doubt the answer will have an effect on Olimar being my main.

And, off-topic, Rachtman, you're avatar makes me so nostalgic I want to cry and go back to 1999.

Agree on all terms, really. I thought it was my fault that the game wasn't saving right or something.

No, Excitetruck accessed your SD card in order to play custom soundtracks.

But this update is probably my favorite so far. They've put everything in that I originally thought about wanting very badly. Replay saves, custom levels, online...

I truly will play this game forever.

(expletive). I haven't seen a list like that for Nintendo in a while.

Maybe I'm just severely uninformed.

I want to thank the N64 basher for making this forum read pretty well entertaining. And useless.

All in all, I see where Ian was coming from. He has felt the same way I have... I feel there has been a serious lack of depth in the games so far. I know that by the end of this console generation, my Wii is going to a glowing prize with it's huge library of favorite old classics and probably some brilliantly designed games. I do wish, and this is my opinion... as is everything in a forum, that it had a little bit more horsepower, but I wish even more that developers would put some effort into the visuals. And dear lord no more PS2 ports, or for that matter games that come out on PSP.... and Wii. (Here's lookin' at you, Heroes... though heroes does have 32 online multiplayer.. wth?)

I feel we've got a lot to look forward to as Nintendo gamers. I'm even excited about games like the recently announced "Smarty Pants" from EA and Nintendo's upcoming popularity channel. And believe it or not, the day that keyboard support is added for the Internet Channel is a day I'll buy a USB keyboard. I actually make use of it as it is.

I agree with Ian. It's sad to say that I've spent more time playing N64 games on my Wii (which I love being able to do, don't get me wrong) than actual Wii titles. Sure I've poured *maybe* 20 hours into Zelda and some time with SSX Blur (haven't picked up Prime 3 yet, but will).

I will admit that I haven't finished Super Paper Mario and I've had it for quite some time. I just got... bored. Sorry. Seriously. When I realized I had more fun speed-running through Mario NES and whatnot, I got even more bored. And believe me, I played Mario NES on Wii far longer than Super Paper Mario.

With the N64 I felt I had the heavy-hitting console based solely on the handful of titles that Ian mentioned because that handful of titles were deep and severely fun. I still played them all over again and then some. The biggest downfall of the N64 was it's dying controller.

And while I am truly looking forward to playing through Prime 3 and Mario Galaxy (oh yes), It's just sad to say that I've been mostly disappointed with the line-up thus far. I knew it at the point where I was playing the .skate demo on 360 more than a game I hadn't even finished yet on Wii. And in the past I've been what you forum-ites would call a "fan-boy".

I'm a gamer, and I need games. Fun. Involving. Games.

EDIT: I see that post. I will admit I played the hell out of Excitetruck, and I'm really looking forward to the thrid-party developed NitroBike by the N64 developers of Excitebike 64. But even then, I feel Excitetruck lacked some severely needed replay value. Oh, if only online, if only.

Maybe I didn't read all the posts, and thusly I shall be laughed at, but I really want them to do a great FPS for Wii with some online play and with enough options for endless scenarios. I'm not sure why, and with that you might agree with me, but during the grieving process of watching Rare leave and break into other stuff, I kind of saw Retro as a company to pick up the torch after never seeing a real sequel to Perfect Dark.

lolz, you could say that about almost any game.

also about transformers the movie. the argument was about a story being there.

i'm currently playing through prime 2 again to prep for corruption.

someone hasn't played this game if they're arguing against a story for metroid. i don't know how many lore there is to download in this game, but if you were to read all of the (beautifully written, i might add) text in this game, you could possibly write of few side stories of your own.

oh yeah, this is a brawl topic. i think i disagree about this being an "interesting" update week. i hated most of it. since i go tourney's and we take the game way too seriously, i'm really just hoping for some confirmations like new characters (not items) and play mechanics. and where the f is the freaking shield? and what the f is this about zero-suit? i swear, if you can't have her as a pick able character, it will just be completely terrible for someone who wants to use zero-suit in a tourney. i really hope there is another way that doesn't hinge on the chance of grabbing a smash ball, which... i might at would be a little hard to do in a tournament that doesn't allow for items.

the positive side in me tells me there will be an easier way to use z-suit then blowing your suit off. maybe the hold 'a' trick at the start of the match? i really hope so. i'm really only hoping that turning to z-suit is more of a side-effect of using the final smash, and z-suit truly is a 'newcomer'.

i cannot even begin to describe my disappointment with the speed and quality of that browser. i was so looking forward to it. i'm glad i tried my friend's first.

sorry nintendo, i don't miss dial up.

yeah i've used a good hotspot. same one my wii uses, and i use that browser quite often, actually.

this game is so amazing. i got it as well. just beat it on 'hard'.

i have to say.. i agree.. this is by far much deeper and more enjoyable (and harder) than the first game. plus, the "being about to skip everything" thing is my favourite part. i didnt even finish the first game simply because i couldn't retry instantly at the end.
