Sega has dropped a caution flag on Team Sonic Racing for several months.

Originally slated for a winter release, the new Sonic racer will now take the green on May 21, 2019. The delay is for additional quality assurance for the title.

I'm not surprised that it was delayed, given how little we've heard about the game.  However, I was expecting March 2019, like most holiday-season games that get delayed.

If they needed more quality assurance, they should've just had their employees work 100 hours a week, like a real AAA developer.
