It'll be interesting how they handle this since not all games support cloud saving - including Animal Crossing.

I actually wish the National Dex thing didn't suck all the air out of the room because we really need to get that no AC cloud save thing addressed.

Please Nintendo,  I just want folders. I know it’s OCD but I want to put games I’ve beaten in one, party games in another, etc

I'm grabbing that Rayman demo just to see how it plays on the Switch.

I am disappointed that the two older Jackbox Party Packs went up at full price. I'll wait to see if we get some type of bundle discount on all three this holiday.

There's a sprint button?!

Did you guys find the controls a bit.. loose? Trying to click on the correct tile/food box was real hard for me until I enabled Low Latency mode on my TV, which helped somewhat, but it's still not perfect. I feel like they need to clean up the controls a bit. It's one thing to scream at the orders, it's another to scream because I accidentally picked up the vegetable next to the one I really wanted.

I keep throwing money at my Switch for Overcooked but sadly I do not have it yet :( I think that one will make a great party game.

My only concern with this review is it doesn't mention price or seem to take that into account - it's $10. I also purchased this from the Japanese eShop (since we don't have a date yet for a US release), and I think it's worth $10. It also does seem to be.. I don't want to say "early access", but there are a few things (Local wireless play was it? And Achievements) that say "coming soon". So it'll be interesting to see what this developer does with the game going forward, and if more will be added before the US release.

I knew the name sounded familiar and the screenshots confirmed it, I definitely have played this. Hmm. Did I import it? I guess I must have. I did import my original GBA so did I buy this.. Weird! I may have to pick it up for Wii U. And ponder what I did 15 years ago to be playing this.

Excellent. This makes me feel much better about the game.

Well, besides the fact that if they weren't doing the separate cockpit view they could increase the graphics a bit. buuuut

I hope there are some surprise announcements for this year at E3, because this is a very anemic release list. Absolutely no first party games for 3DS the rest of the year besides Puzzle Dragons this month and Happy Home Designer in the Fall?

Blast Corps needs to be on this list

Justin, reading this actually made me start to get concerned for you. I love Nintendo too, and have had every system for the past 25 years. But I personally don't find Amiibos that important. Definitely to the level where you sound depressed and stressed over the ability to get (or not get) them.

Back when they were first announced I had a Link preordered because I like Link and wanted one. Cancelled before release because I thought the final design was kinda shoddy. I've never felt the need to collect them all or use them in games. I might try for the Yarn Yoshi because it's cute, but yeah. I am shocked that so many people feel the need to rush out and get them.

Really, if Nintendo cared about people being able to get Amiibos they would have opened up a dedicated section of their online store and kept them all in stock there to order.

If Nintendo is really causing artificial demand don't play their game. No one should. Go spend the money on something else. But yeah, I mean I don't know you, but this article has me concerned.

I hope this is the Nintendo Fusion project we heard rumors about early last year. The idea behind it was some type of console/portable hybrid. If I can get an HD portable Nintendo system that I can connect to my TV and play when I'm at home that would be fine with me. And I think it would be to Nintendo's advantage to only work on one system instead of two. Maybe then we can stop having release droughts!

We all know Nintendo is making a nice profit off of this system. ($200 for basically four year old tech? Yeah okay). To me, it makes them look pretty bad that they can't throw in a $10 (and there's no way it costs them $10 to make) charger when they are charging $200 for the system. Kinda embarrassing Nintendo. I don't intend on buying this system from you. I'll survive without 360 degree cameras in Majora's Mask, thanks.

I definitely think the software lineup is to blame. There just haven't been games this year. Yeah I know, Pokemon and Smash. I didn't get either. Surely I've played something since A Link Between Worlds... Right? I can't even remember.

I feel like the 3DS suffered this year in an effort to get Wii U games out. Might not be totally related, but..

I think it's time for a better Virtual Console experience (broken record on that one) and the "Nintendo Fusion". Nintendo focusing on one system instead of two will yield fantastic results, I think.

TalkBack / Re: Six Ways to Get Alpha Sapphire/Omega Ruby Demo
« on: October 21, 2014, 01:26:27 PM »
How they are handling this demo is so bizarre. It's apparently completely different in the UK as well (that info is below), which makes me think Reggie was trying to decide how evil to be.

So, how does this work with people who signed up for the Pokekmon Trainer Club, per the news from last week? Does that fall under #5, or is it something else completely?

UK process (http://www.pokemonrubysapphire.com/en-gb/cool-features/special-demo-version)

Look for a code for the Special Demo Version at these locations:

1. From October 15, look for your code on the Nintendo Life website. A special section of the website will allow you to claim a code to redeem the Special Demo on the Nintendo eShop.

2. If you have purchased Pokémon X or Pokémon Y via Amazon.co.uk, Smyths Toys, ShotTo.net or the Nintendo UK Official Store you may receive an email with your code.

3. If you have already pre ordered Pokémon Omega Ruby & Pokémon Alpha Sapphire via Amazon.co.uk, ShopTo.net or the Nintendo UK Official Store you may receive an email with your code.

4. Claim your code at the Pokémon booth during the MCM Comic-con London (form October 24 to October 26).

TalkBack / Re: New Nintendo 3DS Models Announced
« on: August 29, 2014, 08:51:08 AM »

I love Nintendo, and their systems. But this is  a money grab pure and simple and I think it's time to stand up to Nintendo and say "No". I would accept this if Nintendo went all the way and made it a new system with all the bells and wishes (and improved screen resolution/graphics). But this, and then having games exclusive for it? No.

And the name? "New 3DS"? Come on Nintendo, did you learn nothing from Wii U? "Hey, this game is only playable on the New 3DS". Yeah, no.

Nintendo had their chance to add things to the 3DS with the XL version. Pushing out a system that fragments the 3DS market is not a good idea at all. Yes Nintendo has a history of upgrading systems which is fine. But none of them have fragmented the market besides the camera added to the DSi.

I'm more confused by the range of games than anything else. You can choose 1 game, from $5 VC games to $30 retail games? Weird. They should have done "Choose 1 Retail Game or 2 Virtual Console games" or something. And yes, something more than just an extra set of games to choose from for Platinum members.

I can understand no Wii U games, but why no 3DS games? That system is selling like hotcakes.

Maybe it's because all the games they are announcing will be for the Nintendo Fusion system!.. right? ... right?

TalkBack / Re: Virtual Console Could Help Wiisuscitate U
« on: May 08, 2014, 08:24:37 AM »
Absolutely agree with this post 100%. If Nintendo was treating it's gold mine of a Virtual Console right it could have marketed the Wii U as a retro gaming haven, which would have sold systems even in the driest of new release times. The GamePad is perfect for playing most of the older games! I just wish it had a longer range from the system. I guess that would be what the 3DS is for, if cross-buys were actually a thing.

As you mentioned, I can survive paying $1/$1.50 to 'upgrade' my games from the Wii to the Wii U VC. But having to double-buy them on the Wii U and 3DS makes no sense at all. Neither does releasing GBA games on the Wii U but not 3DS - even though they already exist for the 3DS since Ambassador players have them!

Hey, we can get more than one game a week can't we? .. can't we?

I'm in the same boat as Leo. I bought it when it was 100 coins for Club Nintendo members and didn't realize I needed a classic controller to play it (I sold mine long ago). So it's just sitting in my Wii mode doing nothing right now. Time to transfer it out.

TalkBack / Re: Super Nintendo Headed to 3DS VC?
« on: December 10, 2013, 08:38:51 AM »
I'm hoping the recent lack of VC releases is Nintendo getting their ducks in a row for cross-buy games, and more/same systems on the Wii U and 3DS. A Link to the Past missing on the 3DS when ALBW launched is just a huge missed opportunity. I'm not sure what Nintendo is doing lately. They are sitting on a literal gold mine with the VC if they would take it more seriously.
