TalkBack / Re: Shin'en Announces Art of Balance TOUCH!

Having only purchased the original on Wiiware last month and loved it to bits, I can only hope they don't go the lazy route and just release the same puzzles on the 3DS.

The only thing bad I can say about the original was that it needed more puzzles. Otherwise, really great stuff!

This is just the perfect sort of game to have on hand on your 3DS for a quick session while on the go, and if DLC is released regularly at a fair price I can see it continuing to be so for a very long time. The Marvel tables especially would be great to have.

Nintendo Gaming / Re: Paid DLC coming to 3DS games starting in March.

I'm kind of sad to see Nintendo bucking to the trend, but at least its one more sign its getting on with the times.

I do hate it when DLC is used by publishers as a means to nickel n' dime the fanbases, and few are as guilty of that as Bandai/Namco and Capcom. Considering half my 3DS library consists of their titles, I do hope they show some restraint in applying the existing console models to the 3DS in the future.

Looking over at Ridge Racer Vita, that doesn't much look like a likely scenario.

Nice to know that this turned out good. I quite enjoyed Nanostray 2 so I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for this one when it gets a European release.

God, I love Wayforward! The eShop is doing pretty well lately too. Zen Pinball, Pullblox/Pushmo, Freaky Forms and now this. Roll on more titles and drive me penniless why don't you?

General Gaming / Re: So...I just bought a Sega Saturn..

IGN used to have a Saturn site, and I always wondered why they took it down. I mean, their N64 site still exists!

Too true that there are far too few Saturn resources from its time still alive on the web. I did find a few Saturn reviews on gamespot some months back. The Deep Fear review is an interesting read (mind the reviewer).

Thankfully I still have all my CVG's issues from back in the day when the magazine was alive and Paul Davies was the EIC. Good times!  :cool;

Man, I'm happy to hear people still have interest in exploring the old Saturn today. I got mine around launch (european) and I still have it to this day and still play it semi regularly.

I actually purchased a new asian white model around a year ago. I'll tell you, holding a new Saturn in 2010 and smelling the new smell was one the best game related experiences I had in a long while.

If you like action strategy in some fashion, please do try The Horde. It's made by Toys for Bob, who very recently made Skylanders. The ridiculous FMV alone is reason enough to try the game out, though the game itself is very engrossing if you can connect with its unique blend.

Also, for all your Saturn needs -> http://www.segagagadomain.com/saturn-no.htm and http://www.segagagadomain.com/RetroCorepage-main.htm. Most complete english Saturn resource on the net, with a great store to boot.

I only just purchased the new Bundle. Jamestown and Cave Story + made it for me. The rest I already had purchased before or is at least interesting. One of the best Humble Bundles IMO.

Now if only Steam would finally decide to boot.

Edit: Morari, just noticed some mildly uncomfortable similarities between our avatars...  :-\

Revengeance has to the funniest/worst subtitle I've seen since the Badman games on PSP. Considering Platinum is at the helm, I'll take it laughing. I really enjoyed their sense of humor in all their games. Besides, it sure one-ups Transfarring.

Heed my words, we haven't heard the worst word mash pun from Kojima yet.

Nintendo Gaming / Re: The Official 3DS System Friend Code Thread

Howdy everyone!

I'm new to the forums though I've been a long time fan of the site and NWR. I haven't been active on a board since phuckign went down some years ago, but if our esteemed podcast hosts are to be believed this seems like a great place to be a part of.

That said, I'm looking forward to playing some games with everybody, so I'll be adding all the friend codes here. Please add me as a friend if you can.
