Nintendo Gaming / Potential companies Nintendo could merge with
« on: January 31, 2014, 11:06:06 PM »
Recent news of Nintendo buying back stocks can imply they are willing to use that as a way to establish a serious merge with a notable company. Capcom fits the bill, given the history between the two. Another Japanese developer that comes to mind is square enix, given the financial troubles they are having it might be the right time for Nintendo to make a move. I think Nintendo let Sega go and it was a huge mistake, lets hope they make some aggressive moves in the near future that gives consumers a real reason why owning a Wii U or some future console is worth the money.

Your first mistake was having a Game Informer subscription.

I first got it free and ended up extending it for one more year, i could have used the 14 bucks to buy a used game.

Yet, gameinformer has the audacity to put the Nintendo Network on their top disappointments of 2013, i mean they complained when there was none, and now that there is, they still complaint with baseless accusations such as the on-line system not having a universal friend list when in fact it does. Wait i got, they forgot how shitty xbox live was when it launched, hypocrites; exactly why i canceled my subscription.

Thats part of being a company, learning how to manage loses while creating strategies to recuperate, I am sure Nintendo has it under control. As for the Wii U selling bad, everyone know that, but still at 5.86 million, is still plenty of time to release some good games and gain sales.

No, in fact i really like the Wii U and the content Nintendo has published so far. I mean, i don't know why everybody decided to gang up on the system specs instead of making fucking games. Its really sad the state of the industry, its becoming more a more corrupted and based off speculation instead of good healthy competition. But Microsoft and Sony with their baseless and mindless power competition have **** it all up. I mean people are already making comparison on what version of tomb raider looks better, its so stupid its beyond me. The fact is that, as of now Wii U has the better lineup and still gets bashed for not having enough games. But that is not important, what is important is to have all media sites including non video game related websites talk **** about Nintendo, when both Microsoft and Sony have gone through restructuring due to how fucked up this companies were performing, including Sony's junk status. Its fucking ridiculous, I know Nintendo is going through some tough times but they have enough money and credibility to get back up to speed, the situation is not as dire as others sharks want to make it seem as to make people believe that its over for Nintendo and to jump ship to the truly "NEXT-GEN" system for whatever that term might mean.

I also read that Iwata is taking a 50% pay cut and so are other top employees such as Miyamoto, but the number changes depending on position.

I just read the specs over at the escapist, and they sound quite PS4ish. I mean if thus is Nintendo next gen console is up to a bad start in terms of specs, unless they pull a Wii and the Fusion becomes a success. Because lets say they release the console two or three years from now, its going to be the same scenario as with the Wii U that had one year on the market being marginally better than the other two consoles and we all know how that move ended up.

Just read a rumor over at Kotaku over a supposedly new Nintendo hardware being develop called the Nintendo Fusion. I mean its way too early for Nintendo to abandon the Wii U. I am sure they are already working on their next console/handheld, but its at least two 2-3 years before its even announced.

Nintendo Gaming / Interesting article about the Gamecube

The current position the Wii U is in its reminiscent of the GameCube days, this is a good article that highlights how little Nintendo has changed over the years even with the phenomenon the Wii was.

Pokemon rumor

It can actually be true given the position the WiiU is currently facing. I wont get my hopes up, but it makes sense for Nintendo to do something like this in order to seriously boost the sales of the system

There's no way that rumor is true. There's too much emphasis on story for a series that has only paid lip service to storytelling previously, and there are too many systems being rattled off.  We could very well see a console Pokemon game, but it won't be that one.

i agree with ya, but at some point there definitely some type of pokemon game coming to wii u

i think Nintendo players themselves are throwing the towel too early, i know Nintendo is going through some tough times, but when have they not after the SNES. The NA market is basically runned by Microsoft, but compare Microsoft situation in Japan, it sucks, but that doesn't mean the Xbox is failing, think about that, Nintendo market its Japan not the U.S, the U.S is an important market, but not the one that will decide Nintendo's fate.

I am just looking forward to the games Nintendo will release next year. The numbers do look bad, but am sure Nintendo's hardware department is already hard at work given the failure of the Wii U. The Wii U hasn't gotten an easy time from the press, but i believe all that has happen is 100 percent Nintendo's fault, its like they though, lets do nothing and ride off the Wii's brand name.

What is this version of Dragon Quest X? Does it include the full game plus all the added content released to date, or is it something entirely new? Is it something you install to memory and use with the other game?

I really don't like the way SE is treating DQ as a franchise, it was better, when they use to release one game every four or five years.
