I'm so excited for this... I am a huge fan of the series, and finally getting a new installment, with a few new additions really gets me pumped. The idea of using juice to keep the time tension of the original but leaving the game open like Pikmin 2 is interesting, and I hope it works out because I think it sounds promising.


I cannot wait!

I am so excited! I just read the preview for the new game and it seems promising! I love Harvest Moon, I started with the It's A Wonderful Life on the Gamecube, and that inspired me to pick up the handheld versions. I even played through Rune Factory 3 recently. Very excited!

999 was amazing, and a welcome surprise. It was exactly the kind of game I think showcases the best qualities of the DS library: surprising, quirky, challenging, delightful, and unique.

Dark Souls is amazing. I usually detest games that are as difficult as it is, but Dark Souls is so incredibly fair in its difficulty that it instead felt like a mountain, cold and uncaring and vicious, yet not insidious, and a true challenge to be overcome. It also helps if someone you know is playing through it at the same time as you. That way you can talk through some of the bosses. Capra Demon was oddly difficult, first run through. Sorcerer was a great class though.


On the other side of the difficulty equation, Kirby was rad as well.

I already have Z:SS queued up, same with Mario Kart. Not so interested in Skylanders.  Thanks though. Most of the 1st party releases I recall, it's the games that are more likely to slip through the cracks that I'm really worried about.

Good day all. I find myself in need of help. The holidays are the one time when I can really acquire a wealth of games, but it seems that I have a problem. Over the course of this year, I have seemingly forgotten most of the games that came out! I am calling upon you, the only responsible forum I know, to aid me by posting all the games, for any platform (though I only have Wii/360/DS/3DS) that were good this year and that I should ask for for Christmas. I truly need your help here. All of your ideas, give them to me!
If it matters, I am 20, attending college, and have tastes similar to Mr. Metts and Mr. Jones on RFN.

Really hoping to see The World Ends With You on this list. It was so good, and so unique. Even if you don't like it personally, you have to give it credit for being really inventive and for taking a lot of risks. Its dialogue was idiosyncratic, though as Hishigizawa (and Greg during the Retroactive) says, it is a "chowder of destruction."  Happy Radiant Historia got some love, it's so good. The story was legitimately interesting, and charming. I'll invest in that Stocke any day. Plus, Aht was so goddamn useful! Stocke-Raynie-Aht all the way!

Wow. You work fast, my friend. The only Pokemon I truly finished (beat Elite 4 and Champion as well as completed the entire Pokedex) was Blue. Unless you don't count the Nat'ldex in later games.

PLEASE! Nintendo, if you ever hear my pleas hear me now! Just localize everything! I'll buy it! This is why Atlus stays in business, there are people who will buy that stuff, like me! Maybe you just scale back the expectations for sales, but you'll still turn a profit! Somabringer... I hope it gets "brought" over here! And one day, maybe even all the Mother games... Or a new one...
