You state that is $100.00 a year but have they actually stated what the price will be? To my knowledge, all prices being floated out on the internet are just speculation right now.

On Nintendo platforms, cloud storage for... thirteen games is US$5/yr. I'd like to think that the online service won't be more than 4x that.

I wonder if they included haptic feedback, but not RAM?

I'm not against a paid service if the cost is justified. But Nintendo's current track record for online content doesn't suggest (to me) they deserve any benefit of the doubt on whether this service will be worthwhile.

Cater i have a job and i'm doing etc study.  And the little time i have left i spend with friends. I would not be someone who benefits from paid "faster" services. It's a scumbag move and I hate it.

That could be a great feature that would justify the cost for me. Total cloud storage of saves and digital games. It would eliminate all fridge cleaning issues and I would not have to worry about memory cards and such.

It's best to wait and see what they actually offer I think. I'm not a online gamer, so either way I won't be getting it, but it'll be interesting to see how they do this.

I mean, asking x amount a month when their output tends to be quite sparse or non-online is kind of a hard sale I think. Beyond Smash, Splatoon, MK, what else do they have that actually requires online?

Good question! They're probably relying heavily on Splatoon to sustain the demand. That and "sweetening" the deal with some free old game for a month. But yeah, it better be inexpensive.
However, the new Kimishima-led Nintendo doesn't seem too concerned with being overpriced at the moment.

I think rotating out a classic game with added online play is gonna help a lot.  You'll have a fairly fresh online community each month that should be pretty active.  The only issues are that you might not like the game they pick, or the excitement might falter too quickly.  Still, should be at least somewhat interesting.

But I'm thinking they have another online focused IP up their sleeves or are expecting 3rd parties to fill the void.
