Today, the official Capcom blog confirmed that Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom: Ultimate All Stars is coming to North America. The July issue of Nintendo Power will have an article about the title and more information will be revealed at E3 next month. For those keeping score, this is the first of two mystery games that will be at E3.

Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom is a fighting game that was released last December in Japan. The fighting game features characters from the Capcom universe, and characters from the Tatsunoko universe. Check out our import review for more details about the Japanese version.

Currently there is no announced release date or other information regarding the North American version.

Excellent to see this officially confirmed. I absolutely love this game, so it'll be nice to see it all in English. Hopefully online and new characters do appear, as suggested by the Nintendo Power article.

If Capcom's second mystery game is Monster Hunter 3, I will officially never say anything bad about Capcom. Even though the RE ports, this redeems Capcom in my eyes.

OH FOR CRYIN' OUT LOUD, I SAID BACON AND EGGS.  /tourettes guy

Monster Humper 3 and Tetsuo Vs. Capcom are not mysteries.  We know what these are already.  They're just "durrr Capcom, you were supposed to bring these anyway" games cuz you told us about them a Cross-Generation of Failures ago.  When will you actually surprise Western audiences with in-house games that aren't niche Japaneezy franchises?

They have already confirmed MH3 for the US, its not one of their secret games.

I'm hoping that they also announce a version of MvC for WiiWare fully featured like the PSN & XBLA versions
There is no reason that those two systems can handle a last gen game and the Wii couldn't. I don't even know what Tatsunoku is, but I know I would love to play as Marvel characters.

and I don't want it as part of their "secret" game line up.

The "secret game" has got to be "WE LOVE GOLF+" -- Lotion Puss with LEON S. KENNEDY

ok so are they just hoping lawsuits don't happen or that sales will be good enough to fight the copyrights laws ??

Well atleast I don't have to bother with SFII on the VC now since I can just get this instead.

They probably paid all the companies involved a licensing fee for the use of characters.

FOC is right, Capcom wouldn't be stupid enough to bring this over without reaching a deal with all of the copyright holders. They would sue and stop the game from even coming out and Capcom would probably have to sell millions of copies just to cover the costs of the lawsuits.

My guess is the game will probably be missing a couple of Tatsunoko characters due to licensing difficulty, but Capcom may add one or two new ones as replacements.

It would be great if they also brought over the Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom arcade stick.

If that is true I hope the replacements are Samurai Pizza Cats and Speed Racer as both are Tatsunoko characters.

Tatsunoko vs. Capcom may not be a mystery game, but considering it faced a huge hurdle to surpass in its US release the fact that somehow Capcom managed it is good enough to celebrate.

Lord knows I've been dying for a versus game and the Marvel vs. Capcom 2 re-release does not count.
