Pshhhh! It's a piece of concept art. And it's a bad shot anyway. It's one step away from being a silhouette in my book. Can barely make anything out on it.

OK, I understand, I though you were talking about the literal game region, but you were speaking more of art style and tone. I can understand that.

There is still time after all, it is just concept art. It could turn out to be a whole lot different. It could even change directions to a more cel-shaded look if Miyamoto felt like it. That would actually make a lot of sense I think to make it more of a Wind Waker style game but with no water to sail on.

Konami is also bringing pop'n music (for the first time in America, there are 15 console/arcade pop'n music games in Japan) and Ultimate Party Challenge for Wii.

About time they did SOMETHING in regards to bringing their great Japan only music games to the West. I'm shocked they are making a repeat mistake and not bringing over Beatmania in response to DJ Hero. They blew it multiple times with the Guitar Freaks/Drum Mania and others not competing with Guitar Her and Rock Band. Rock Revolution does not count.

General Gaming / Re: Sony's secret weapon is PS3 Slim... Jim?
« on: June 03, 2009, 11:07:59 PM »
Because regardless of all the positive sales talk and "record sales" from the conference, Sony posted its first loss in 14 years and needs money.
PSPGo got reset to original PSP launch price, but I'm not expecting that with the PS3 slim.

Besides, I didn't didn't even state a price for the PS3slim, just listed out some options, but the PS3 is $399 right now and most people find that too expensive especially in this WW economy, so launching the PS3slim at the same premium price isn't really gonna help anybody change their mind unless they lower the price of the old PS3 to push them out the door.

Sony doesn't need to adjust their price, their STELLAR lineup like Ice Age will sell systems all by itself.

They need MGS5 to save them. Since the 360 MGS wasn't MGS4 I need to get a PS3 at some point.

Who said it had to be set in Hyrule? Did Majora's Mask take place in Ocarina's Hyrule, or even Hyrule at all?

Only the director of Nintendo World Report would interrupt his honeymoon to troll the forums.

LOL It was a rainy day at the beach.

All I'm saying is that I hope they do something with Wii MotionPlus that extends beyond the obvious stick-swinging mechanic.  I'm hopeful as a result of the variety in Wii Sports Resort, but I hope they can translate that to the Zelda universe in a cool way.

EDIT: And archery and fishing don't count.   ;)

I still don't see how a rainy day is an excuse to come here on your honeymoon. Does she know about these little visits? Besides, there are plenty of activities to play on your honeymoon when it is raining, like card games. Play a card game with her ;)

As for sans-sword M+ possibilities in Zelda, here are a few:
Horseback riding
controlling your shield precisely in defense mode to reflect light and projectiles
using it to control your balance on a narrow ledge
a dart game in the bar
hurling that ball & chain weapon from Twilight Princess
and especially polo. You have a horse, I want to see you ride the horse and hit balls with your sword or a club.

Really? I had a hard time getting used to them. It's the same with any N64 game I've played on VC. I just liked the N64 control stick better than the GC one for N64 games.

The shows not over yet, KDR, remember Brawl was shown later in the show. There's still time.

Isn't the game not coming until 2010? there should be enough time in there to fix the camera a bit.

13885
So it looks vaguely Twilight Princess-ish? Twilight sequel confirmed? I'd like to see Midna return in some fashion. I liked her.

I was curious until I read Mystery Dungeon. My sister might like it though.

It was. So there goes my Toad/Single Disk play theory.  :-\
And online is the one thing that I felt would have made the DS NSMB better.

New idea: This Zelda is the new Majora's Mask. Majora required the expansion pak. If the new Zelda requires M+ it may help bring more people on board the M+Express.

Why does Link have to be a man? Adult Link could just as easily refer to a Female Link!

LOL, Nintendo doesn't need another character with a gender crisis.

Mr. Lindy Luthor should be on his honeymoon!

And he is!  But that doesn't mean he doesn't get internet.  My wife was taking a nap, so I pitched in where I could.
The new wife was taking a nap at 10:30am*?
you naughty man you. :high fives:

*or was that 11:30am? the time of the first post is an hour after the first reply and the forums are usually 1hr behind local time so now I'm a little confused
Super News!!!
EXCITEMENT. IT GROWS.

Just sayin... ;D

Anyways, I'm glad they are giving Yoshi due justice in this game. Maybe we can get a new Yoshi game after this. It's been too long.

I thought the trailer was good. A good Metroid trailer. Maybe I just don't have the same nostalgia memories of the series you all do since I got into Metroid later than most but I liked it. Plus it's a trailer, it's supposed to be full of action. We probably saw half of the boss fights in that trailer. There will be exploring and puzzling I'm sure. Even if there isn't I don't think it will ruin the game.

It's also nice to see something near to Nintendo actually supporting their services with a major property.

I need to get a classic controller or N64/Wii converter box so I can fully appreciate the first one before this comes out.

This is one post from BlackNMild2k1 away from turning into a Funhouse thread...

So turn it back then.

What other features and items do you want/hope/expect to see in this game from previous Mario games?

I hope to see a return of the raccoon leaf or the cape feather. I also would like to see a 2D Mario do the Metal Cap in some fashion.

becoMing A father Leads ONe to mature rather quickly

Well with all the lady friends he seems to attract on his travels he was bound to hook up with one at some point, right? The question is, who? I guess Marin.

Do you like green sweatpants or something?

I like the news on automatic FC swapping. All we'd need then are a few volunteers to enter everyones FCs here and then we all play together and swap at once. Though in the end that might be even more complicated than the old way. Though it would be funner! Imagine: FC swapping as 'fun'. Ha!

LOL at talk of new Zelda being vaporware.

I still think someone sneaked a shot of it in there. It's gotta leak some time. I think by weeks end it will be out in the wild.
