A boss is being tweaked and new fishing locations are being added.

The Legend of Zelda series Producer Eiji Aonuma has shared a few new details regarding the upcoming The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask remake for Nintendo 3DS.

Speaking to Famitsu in a recent interview, Aonuma made it clear that the game will be modified in ways that accommodate new players. "Specifically speaking, parts that were conventions and weren't explained at all are changed, and challenges which you realize by repeating many times are made easier to understand," he said.

The three-day cycle will remain the same, but one of the boss battles will be altered and two new fishing areas are being added. Additionally, while the game won't feature improved visuals on New 3DS, Aonuma did note that something for owners of the improved handheld is coming. "Please wait for the opportunity to discuss how playing on the New 3DS differs at a later date," he teased.

The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D is set to launch this coming spring.

I ran out on day one to buy tho game for my N64. Played it for two days and couldn't stand how nebulous the puzzles were. Ultimately got frustrated, took it out of my N64, and never played it again. To this day I'm stunned that it has such passionate fans. It's the one and only game in the entire series that I just could not get into.

Some of us actually finished the game.

Hey!  I read the first 2 paragraphs of a book!  I couldn't stand the first 2 paragraphs!  Now I can judge the WHOLE book as bad!

Goht was fine. I bet it was the annoying fish boss.
There was a Signature here. It's gone now.

If you can't even figure out the opening part of the game without referring to a strategy guide, then frankly, it's not a very good game.

Well no wonder. It took you 2 days to read those paragraphs apparently.
Whoever said, "Cheaters never win" must've never met Khushrenada.

I'm hoping Nintendo adds a Master Quest. Wishful thinking, I know.

It is possible. I was hoping for some N3DS support. This game and Monster Hunter 4 U are going to my my Spring purchase along with a N3DS.

I wonder if they are going to add amiibo support. N3DS has the receiver built in and it could explain the vague wording of the N3DS support.

That's how it works.  It's the same for movies, games, books, etc.  If the beginning doesn't hook the reader/movie-goer/gamer then chances are they will put it down and move onto something else.  That's one of the first things they teach you when you learn about writing in school.

It bet its any boss, but Twinmold. The Giant's Mask makes it unique enough and has no need to change.

I played a bit of the game and I think the game was more ambitious than the tech it was on allowed the game that was created to be.

For me, the game was special because of the way that that the world kept ending, over and over again. It only DIDN'T end one time out of dozens. That creepy-faced moon wound up with a pretty fantastic win/loss record by the end of it.

Oh man, mixing timed dungeons with obtuse Master Quest style puzzles?  Now that's an expert mode!

I'm trying to think of what boss to change.  I don't recall having issues with any of them though the fix one is the one I remember the details of the least.  I recall firing arrows at the guy from a platform in the middle of water.  Goht was awesome and one of the most original boss fights in the series.  Changing him would be incredibly lame.

This whole project is kind of goofy for Nintendo.  Nintendo is so focused on not alienating newcomers (ironic since I'm sure only hardcore Nintendo nuts actually own Wii U's) but this game makes no efforts to be accommodating.  Trying to make it friendly for the Super Guide user is going to be hammering a square peg in a round hole.  Majora's Mask is exactly the sort of game that ends up a cult hit.

You kind of just answered your own question.  This is a 3DS game, not a Wii U game.  The 3DS is the system that actually still has a pretty large userbase of kids and more casual Nintendo fans.  Plus it's a portable game which requires bigger changes as well since Majora's Mask in its original N64 state is not handheld friendly at all.

You're right it is a 3DS.  Total brain fart on that one.
