Nope. You created this thread in General Chat and not the TV/Movie subsection. Just checked the moderation logs and there was no movement of this thread.
Since no one else seems to have been able to figure out the answer yet or post it, I guess I'll have to make it clear. Anime does not belong in this General Chat section. It belongs in the TV/Movie subsection. After all, anime is animation to tell a story and is often shown on TV or in movie theaters. So that's where it belongs.
On the other hand, Manga which is the printed form and more like comic books and graphic novels would belong in the General Chat section. So, not confusing at all and everyone should totally be clear on this point now.

Why? You asked a question of whether anime belongs in the General section and got an answer. However, there has been no actual discussion of anime. Therefore, why would it need to move? ??? ???
