There's honestly already secret rooms in DOOM that have classic graphics in them. :O

I got to play Doom and Skyrim on Switch. At PAX Aus, Nintendo had 15 minute demos of both games.

I know this is a Doom topic, but Im going to talk about both.

Skyrim really impressed me with how smoothly it ran I didnt notice any slow down or frame drops. I chose to only play this one docked with the pro controller. It controls just as you would expect, but I didnt try the motion controls.
It doesnt look as nice as the remaster, but it doesnt loom bad. I haven't played the original game since 2012, so I cant remember how it compares.
Playing the demo confirmed my decision to buy it for Switch.

I was originally not planning on buying Doom again for Switch, but the demo totally changed my mind.
I started the demo in handheld mode and it was amazing. They did a great job getting it running well on Switch. It looks very nice on the Switch screen.
I remembered it was supposed to have motion controls. I looked in the options and it was turned on, but it wasnt doing anything. I tried in handheld, docked with joy con off and with the pro controller and nothing would happen if you tilt the controllers like in Splatoon.
Docked it where you will notice the graphical downgrade, but like Skyrim, it doesn't look bad, it just doesn't look as good as the Xbox version.

So, overall I was very happy with both demos and I will buy both games. Im also very much looking forward to Wolfenstein on Switch.

Is anyone picking up DOOM soon as it released today? I hope to get it this Christmas as I loved the campaign on the PS4 and would love a multiplayer FPS on Switch to play. I platinumed the base game of DOOM on PS4, but couldn't keep it on my system's hard drive since it took up an insane amount of storage space!

Picked up Doom yesterday, enjoying it so far. I did run into the audio volume glitch, but overall I am enjoying it. Tried a bit of multiplayer its fast and brutal like I like it, but I did get a game error while playing it. I wonder how many Splatoon 2 players will jump into Doom multiplayer?

Really wishing I waited on buying Hyrule Warriors and held off a bit to buy DOOM. Really itching for an arcade shooter and this seems to fit the bill.

Watched the Digital Foundry video for the Switch version and I'm very impressed with what they pulled off.

I wanna buy it but I have a bitchin' PC that gets 175FPS @ 1920x1200 in DOOM...still might do it because you can play it on the go though. But then again, LA Noire, Rocket League, and Skyrim are out this week and I want to get all of those too.

and no, I didn't make her play it, I came in the room, and she was already playing it (picked it out and put the disc in herself) and asked me to help her.

She also like the LEGO City game as well.

Maybe ARMS? Can't say how easy to pick up and play it might be and you might need another pair of controllers for 2 player action but if she liked Injustice perhaps another fighting game with colorful characters would be appealing to her.

Should i open the Switch and set it up ahead of Xmas so that we aren't doing 6hrs of updates and setup?

I believe LEGO City Undercover will be $20 this week at various retailers for Black Friday sales. The updated versions (Switch, PS4, XB1, PC) have co-op play in the open world area this time around. That could be something you guys play together, and you don't even have to stay in the same block of town if you guys don't want to thanks to the split screen.

I second the recommendations for Lego City Undercover on the Switch.

Also, Snipper Clips just got an expansion & physical release. My wife, nephew, and I loved playing the initial release (my nephew is 6).

Lego Worlds is going to be $20, I don't know about City. I believe Minecraft Story Mode will be as well, and so will Telltale Batman (GameStop). Best Buy and Wal-Mart will have the best Switch BF deals.

Picked up Doom last night. It was either this or Skyrim and Best Buy didn't seem to have Skyrim in stock so I got Doom. They had a crazy deal on Google Home Mini ($29.99 w/ free $10 gift card), so I got 2 of those which basically brought the price down to $27.99 after Gamers Club Unlocked discount, so I figured what the hell.

There's some pretty drastic texture muddling in handheld mode, and sometimes the game audio freaks the hell out, but man, is this game fun. Jumping around and blasting demons in the face with one of many shotguns and the other delicious weaponry in this game is so awesome.

The audio bug is my biggest gripe, Part of me wants to wait for a patch to finish it. The game is so much good fun though.
