nickmitch made the mistake of "doubling down" on more KFC. Unfortunately, KFC just wasn't prepared to handle all the buckets of chicken being ordered this game and this was the result:

The BNM method

The blast took out nickmitch as he tried to decide between the potato salad, macaroni salad or coleslaw.

According to the colonel, nickmitch was laid to rest in a 12 piece bucket, a big box meal and a family feast. Because the C in KFC actually stands for corpse.

This brings us to the Final Round. NWR_Insanolord vs TOPHATANT123.

TOPHATANT123 is trying to join the two-time winner's club and Insanolord is still trying to get his first win. Somehow, you've let him make back-to-back Final Rounds. Moreover, you maniacs have now given him control of the bomb word for the Finals. What are you doing to me? If the unthinkable happens, it is all ShyGuy's fault and he should be banned from the forums. I know await Insanolord's selection for the Finale.

The Final Round has arrived.

TOPHATANT123 makes the only choice for this round. Can he correctly pick the Safe Word between:

Subway
or
Dairy Queen

Don't expect any result for the next couple hours. About to see a movie.

Correction. Don't expect any result because TOPHATANT123 isn't around for a couple hours. Ha ha ha. Oh man...... This means I'll probably have to end the game at work tomorrow and that can be a pain.

I'm honoured to have reached this stage, no matter what happens it's been a good game.

Now, onto the selection. I have a history with Subway, I've already picked it twice including in the round immediately preceding this one. To pick it again would be madness, on the other hand, Insanolord also picked Dairy Queen in the round preceding this one. Would they pick the same safe word twice?

The question is if Insanolord decided to change or stay the same... People tend to choose change when given the option, if Insanolord also has the same thinking they would expect me to switch from my answer Subway to Dairy Queen. Also what's a Dairy Queen, is it like an ice cream parlor?

I'm going to make the assumption that Insanolord expects me to switch, so I'm going to stay the same. LET'S GOOOOOO SUBWAY.

Meanwhile, NWR_insanolord went to get some cool treats but ended up with some hot eats instead.

The World War 2 veteran hired yesterday thought the Flamethrower Burger meant it was cooked with a flamethrower and brought his in to work since he was familiar with using it. Unfortunately, he ended up causing a huge grease fire and catching Insanolord in its flames as well. Insanolord ran outside, hjacked a vehicle to get himself to the hospital and promptly crashed into a trash can. He died in the garbage fire.

This means that TOPHATANT123 IS THE WINNER OF SAFE WORDS 15!!!

He has now won his second game of Safe Words joining Nuclearspeed, Lucario(fan99) and ShyGuy as a two-time winner. Another brutal heartbreak for Insanolord. You guys are cruel. At least eliminating him in the opening round didn't get his hopes up so much.

How strange that the option which advertises being low fat and sort of healthy was the option that ended up surviving to the end. Well, the results don't lie so the Khushrenada Corporation will partner with Subway to promote Safe Words. To thank TOPHATANT123 for his invaluable service in helping to choose the right promotional partner, the Corporation has decided to make TOPHATANT123 the spokesperson for Safe Words and have him appear in the commercials with Subway's spokesman. We've set the appointment for 1:00 PM July 6, 2015 which, as you can tell, is right now. In fact, here's Subway's representative now.....

AUGUST 15, 2015

The Khushrenada Corporation today announced they are shutting down the Safe Words division of their company. The Safe Words brand came under much scrutiny and was highly tarnished by an ad campaign the past month that heavily featured disgraced spokesman Jared Fogle with his supposed best friend TOPHATANT123. Investors were already critical of the long term viability of the Safe Words brand and it's potential for financial growth citing recent incidents with long delays between matches, player unengagement and highly unpopular player Insanolord coming close to winning the game the last few times. Subway was also flabbergasted that the Safe Words division carried ahead with the promotion when they had fired Jared as their spokesman on July 7, 2015 and have launched a law suit against Safe Words and the Khushrenada Corporation for still branding Jared as their company representative in the ad campaign. With the recent promotional boondoggle causing shares in the company to dip, the CEO of the Khushrenada Corporation has announced that they are ceasing all Safe Words activity effective today and will be reorganizing their resources and focus to the Mafia department and working on growing a brand that has had much better public engagement. On hearing this announcement, TOPHATANT123 released a statement to the press simply stating, "I regret everything." We will continue to report on this story as it develops.

Time to finally get to the real reason why people play Safe Words: For the points!

As mentioned in previous Safe Word games, the players are all ranked by the F-Zero GX racing point system based on their position. Based on how the contestants finished in this game of Safe Words 15, these were the points handed out to them for the game:

TOPHATANT123 - 100
NWR_insanolord - 93
nickmitch - 87
ShyGuy - 81
Mop it up - 76
BeautifulShy - 71
Steefosaurus - 66

Now, after Safe Words 14, here is a reminder of what the All-Time Safe Words Leaderboard looked like.

1. ShyGuy - 1059 points (14 games played)
2. Stratos - 1024 points (14 games played)
3. NWR_insanolord - 955 points (14 games played)
4. nickmitch - 938 points (13 games played)
5. Mop it up - 906 points (12 games played)
6. Soren - 802 points (12 games played)
7. Lucario - 738 points (10 games played)
8. Silenced - 502 points (7 games played)
8. oohhboy - 502 points (8 games played)
10. UncleBob - 478 points (6 games played)
11. TOPHATANT123 - 442 points (6 games played)
12. Triforce Hermit - 430 points (6 games played)
13. lolmonade - 360 points (6 games played)
14. Nuclearspeed - 342 points (5 games played)
15. Khushrenada - 319 points (5 games played)
16. Steefosaurus - 257 points (3 games played)
17. ObbyDent - 180 points (3 games played)
18. Evan_B - 165 points (3 games played)
19. TofuFury - 139 points (2 games played)
20. Spak-Spang - 116 points (2 games played)
21. Ceric - 100 points (1 game played)
22. (tie) Fatty The Hutt - 93 points (1 game played)
22. (tie) Phil - 93 points (1 game played)
22. (tie) Pokepal148 - 93 points (1 game played)
25. (tie) BlackNMild2k1 - 76 points (1 game played)

27. BeautifulShy - 71 points (1 game played)
28. ejamer - 47 points (1 game played)
29. Hypotheliciously - 41 points (1 game played)

However, as mentioned, I've decided to divide that board up into two seasons with season 1 consisting of games 1 to 10 and Season 2 consisting of games 11 - 15. Apparently, Safe Words didn't get high enough ratings to justify another full season but not such low ratings as to cancel it completely. Anyways, after the split, the two seasons look like this.

Season 1

1. Stratos - 729
2. Shyguy - 709
3. Soren - 673
4. Insanolord - 649
5. Nickmitch - 635
6. Mop it up - 620
7. Lucariofan99 - 539
8. Unclebob - 478
9. Silenced - 436
10. Triforce Hermit - 430
11. oohhboy - 372
12. lolmonade - 360
13. Nuclearspeed - 342
14. TOPHATANT123 - 293
15. Khushrenada - 226
16. ObbyDent - 180
17. Evan_B - 118
18. Spak-Spang - 116
19. Ceric - 100
20. Phil - 93
21. Pokepal148 - 93
22. BlackNMild2k1 - 76
23. Zap - 76
24. TofuFury - 58
25. ejamer - 47
26. Hypothelicously - 41

Season 2

1. ShyGuy - 350
2. Insanolord - 306
3. Nickmitch - 303
4. Stratos - 295
5. Mop it up - 286
6. Steefosaurus - 257
7. Lucario - 199
8. TOPHATANT123 - 149
9. oohhboy - 130
10. Soren - 129
11. Fatty The Hutt - 93
12. Khushrenada - 93
13. TofuFury - 81
14. BeautifulShy - 71
15. Silenced - 66
16. Evan_B - 047

However, even this I'm going to update and change a bit because it is time to give hosts of this game some points. It won't be the full 100 points I always joke about but it will be a significant amount. Hopefully, it means more people would be willing to host a game since they won't have to suffer in the overall points category if they really care about that. I'll also update this with the amount of games played and hosted by a player in a season. Then I'll make a post adding the points from this game to what the Season 2 current total gets updated at and then we'll have officially ended Season 2. After that players can vote on how many games they think a Season 3 should consist of.

That's correct. I have not added in this game's points yet.

EDIT:

In order to not bump this thread and mess with the current game, I'm just going to put these totals here. After much debating as to what is fair, I've decided to go with 70 points for hosting. I was leaning towards 76 as though hosting would be the same as making the Final Four but decided to cut it back slightly to more 5th place finishing. It's still a high point total but I wanted to still have making the Final Four worth it just a bit more. So, if you want a quick 70 point boost to your totals then just host a game!

Giving the hosts points, though, actually changed things for Season 1 and put someone else on top. No, it wasn't me.  >:(

Mop it up moves from 6th to first because of getting points for the two games she hosted. Sorry, Stratos. When looking at the point averages, Stratos was at 72.something over 10 games but Mop it up was at 77.something over 8 games. So, she was doing better than Stratos in averaging points per game. Thus, her getting further rewarded with getting points for hosting a game seemed fair rather than her being denied. It made me wonder if I was giving too many points for hosting but trying other point totals to lower things and create some perfect formula proved elusive. Even if I went with 60 points for a host, making it like finishing better than 9 but worse than 8 still would have Mop it up finish ahead of Stratos. With some games only having 8 players, it felt weird to give the host less points than anyone playing and immediately losing while they had to still do all the work of running the game. It goes back to Mop it up having a better average so let's put the points at 70. As well, Mop it up is only 1 of 2 people to host 2 games of Safe Words. Who might the other person be...?  ;)

Season 2 Final All-Time Safe Words Leaderboard

1. ShyGuy - 431 points (5 games played)
2. Insanolord - 399 points (5 games played)
3. nickmitch - 390 points (5 games played)
4. Khushrenada - 373 points (1 game played, 4 games hosted)
5. Mop it up - 362 points (5 games played)
6. Stratos - 357 points (5 games played)
7. Steefosaurus - 323 points (4 games played)
8. Lucario - 269 points (3 games played, 1 game hosted)
9. TOPHATANT123 - 249 points (3 games played)
10. BeautifulShy - 142 points (2 games played)
11. oohhboy - 130 points (2 games played)
12. Soren - 129 points (2 games played)
13. Fatty The Hutt - 93 points (1 game played)
14. TofuFury - 81 points (1 game played)
15. Silenced - 66 points (1 game played)
16. lolmonade - 58 points (1 game played)
17. Evan_B - 47 points (1 game played)

This tally comes from adding the points earned in Safe Words 15 to the points accumulated from players in Games 11 - 14 as well as adding in points for hosting.

Another reason why I'm happy enough with the 70 point total for hosting is for how Season 2 ended. This was a big test case in determining how weighted hosting should be since I hosted 4 out of the 5 games played. The one game I did play I ended up in 2nd. So, if I gave the host the same points as the 4th place finisher then I'd have "made the Final Four" or better as it were through the whole season. But I also knew that ShyGuy had a heck of a run during these 5 games as well and was very dominant. Would giving the host points take the Season 2 crown from ShyGuy? The answer is no. Even I had stuck with 76 points for hosting then my final position would have been 3rd place. Lowering the points for hosting to 70 just knocked me down to 4th. Because ShyGuy still placed better and had a sick 431 points acquired out of a possible 500, his average per game was still greater than my average for hosting. Trying to determine how many points a host should get based on this season, 70 points could seem low and maybe a host should get more if they'd still end up behind other players despite Final Four points. But based on a point differential between me and ShyGuy of 60 points at the time Season 2 ended, he'd have to tank two games for me to likely surpass him if I hosted those games depending on the amount of players and what the low finishing points might be. He could possibly regain the lead on the next game after if he placed high enough keeping things competitive. Thus, length of a season is another factor leading to how Mop it up's hosting points enabled her to keep up her average and surpass Stratos while ShyGuy could overcome mine by getting high finishes in a short sample size.

With that, I officially make 70 points the hosting bonus and conclude Game 15 and finally wrap up Season 1 and 2 of Safe Words. Onwards to Season 3.
