Gold Nunchuk on US Club Nintendo
« on: August 09, 2012, 02:30:21 PM »

All that glitters can now be plugged into a Wii Remote.

http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/news/31280

The Gold Nunchuck Wii accessory that was on offer in both the Japanese and Australian Club Nintendo reward catalogs has now become available on the US site.

Interestingly, unlike the Australian listing which ignored any actual relevance to The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword and its golden Wii Remote Plus pack-in, the US Club Nintendo site makes the direct connection.
"If you've got a gold Wii Remote Plus controller from the limited edition bundle of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword at home, be sure not to miss this special reward."

The prize is on offer for a reasonable 900 coins, much less than its Australian price of 3000 stars early this year. The Nunchuk has limited availability, anyone wanting to snap up one of these golden gaming grips had better act fast.

Great, I pretty much have to register every game I own to get this!  I usually like to save them up in case I dont get enough to reach platinum the following year.

If I had 900 points this would be pretty cool.  If I had a gold Wii remote it would be even cooler.
Sadly, I have neither.

However, I do have a bunch of great games that were downloaded via Club Nintendo, so it's hard to feel too bad.

Man, this makes me really wish I didn't blow my points a month ago to get that stupid Giant AR card. This would have been so much better! Besides, the 3DS Barely notices the giant AR card properly. I actually had to put it up and make one with Gimp editor and a color printer on a good ole 8x11 sheet of photo paper which works much better.

Makes me want to go down to my local video rental, and scan all their codes with my phone before someone else does. Because my gold Wii remote is sad now.

I'm pretty sure there's no way I can afford this. I've got like 100 coins, and even with all the coins ill get from the digital copy of NSMB2 and all the surveys I've got left over I don't think I can hit that.

I don't think I can make it.   I've got like 520 coins, and some unregistered games, but I doubt if it's enough.  If the 3DS case was any indication, I'll have to hope this is reoffered later.

The first worthwhile prize in a good while! Better enter some codes today. Pretty sure I have enough in reserve to reach platinum status 3 years over... and that's not including 3DS XL and Wii U this year. Yipes.

You all now officially are allowed to hate me. I did enough surveys and registered two games, allowing me to order TWO of these babies for myself.

These are the types of things that make me with I was more of a Nintendo fan.  I only have enough for about 120 coins.  Grrr.  If it's available after the XL comes out, I may have to get one of those and buy about 6 3DS games and pick up a bunch of digital games.  It'd cost me around $500 just to attempt to get one of these.

At last! "All my time sticking my nose up at inferior prizes has finally paid off!" ...is what I'd be saying if most of my points didn't expire a few months ago (which forced me to buy an inferior prize).

But seriously, after doing all my surveys and registering one game I didn't register, I'm only 60 points away. Not sure if I want to get NSMB 2 on download or not. Either way, it won't be long 'til I have enough.

I'm excited for a prize I actually want.

I have been saving up my coins for years waiting for something like this. I ordered it the first chance I got. Now I just have to hope nothing else cool comes out for a while.

Already ordered mine. Finally, I'll have the entire gold Wii controller set! Using a different colored Nunchuk has always bugged me a little, so this is great.

Actually, just checked on EBay. This thing only runs around $50-$100 bucks right now.

Too rich for my blood at 900 coins, but we do need more Club Nintendo Rewards like this so this is perhaps a good sign for future rewards on the service.
There was a Signature here. It's gone now.

Or if you want to risk waiting, You could buy NSMB2 digitally and get your 100 coins that way.

Hmmm... I wonder what the over-under is for when the Gold Nunchuk goes out-of-stock...
