I was pleasantly surprised by JAKK's Pokemon toys, moreso than Hasbro's offerings, so I'm looking forward to seeing what they can do with other franchises.

What does HD mean in this case?
Probably the same thing it meant back on the NES.

Check out the box art for the first Megaman game, it says "High-Resolution Graphics" right there on the top.

Afraid I'll have to disagree with you... I thought Diamond & Pearl was a great series (I'm actually rewatching the DVDs as I work out in the mornings), I went into Black & White with high hopes... only to have them dashed. Ash actually seems kind of dumbed down to me, as if they regressed him back into a little kid, not the trainer who had previously competed in four different leagues. Iris grated on my nerves pretty quickly, and I found the green haired kid (I don't remember his name and I don't really care to look it up) to be rather bland. And the new rival was forgettable too, nowhere near the caliber of Gary, Paul or Barry. Of course, I might be able to put up with all that if not for the absolutely dreadful way the stripped Team Rocket of their personalities, to the point where I didn't even recognize them. Even that I may have been able to overlook, except they switch over to "serious mode" for NO REASON.

And let me ask a perfectly legitimate question... if they were just going to strip the personalities away from Ash and Team Rocket, why not just have completely new characters in the first place? Seriously, if they did it right, it could have been done. Have Ash win the Sinnoh League, give Team Rocket their own moment in the sun (I dunno, they always seem to do well selling food... maybe they start their own restaurant?) and start the Black/White series fresh with new characters. Hell, you could even have an older Ash appear futher in the series as a potential mentor/rival for the new main characters.

But no. Just run the damn series into the ground instead of doing something fresh (which ironically is how I feel about the video game series lately). I gave the series a fair shot... I watched about ten episodes before giving up on it. But I can't be too upset about it I guess... I got 500+ episodes I can go back and rewatch... and half of those are actually good ones!  ;)

Oh come now. Do you really expect "ORIGINAL" software on a Nintendo platform, a company driven by pure nostalgia?  :P: :

I was referring to the half-assed ports that plague Nintendo consoles.

I think it's high time Nintendo simply said to third party developers "F**k us? No, no, no. F**k YOU."

No matter how much Nintendo attempts to cater to third parties, even going so far as to publish the games themselves, third parties always act like it's such a f**king CHORE to develop something that ISN'T a Microsoft or Sony product or even, dare I say, ORIGINAL?

I don't get the NSMB2/NSMBWU dislike.  Love them.  Okay, I get that people think they're too similar and safe, but they're what I want.  I remember back before the original DS game when it seemed like Mario sidescrollers were a thing of the past.

I don't get it either. Maybe they're upset by the "New" in the title.

The way I see it, the 3D Mario titles are where we see fresh and insane ideas, much like trying out an exciting new menu item we've never had before at a restaurant. And the NSMB titles are where we can get our "comfort food". Sure, it's familiar, but still very enjoyable and sometimes, just what we need.

I learned a LOOOOONG time ago that when searching for ANYTHING related to Pokemon on an internet search engine, you'd best have that Safe Search option clicked, else have your retinas burned.

Spouting Flames means KISS will be the Elite Four.

If that means battling with "Detroit Rock City" blaring in the background, I'm all for it.

Operation Rainfall Phase Two will soon be implemented.

Will that come with a collector's box that people will pay for and never actually get too?

Cool. This wasn't exactly on my radar due to the luke-warm reviews it got, but I'll pick it up to support X-Seed and the Big N.

So every Operation Rainfall title has been released in the US. Does that mean the internet will stop bitching now?

...yeah. Yeah, I suppose they won't.

I see this as being like a wild west themed Mega Man. Which gives me another reason to purchase this title.

When you get to the stages filled with ladders and disappearing blocks, yeah, you'll definatly get a Mega Man vibe. Totally worth the $2, even though I suck at it. :)

Coming in 2013, Pokemon Black 3 & Pokemon White 3! Now with six new formes for those legendary Pokemon you've forgotten the names for!

Kidding aside, I hope it's not another annual update to the mainline series; would be nice to see a new spinoff series in the vein of Pokemon Ranger.

Yes.

Yes I will.

All these articles are doing in making me wish Nintendo would make these soundtracks available to us in the states in one form or another! Y'know, instead of making me track down some rather shady online sources... :-X

I had no problem with Fi; I actually found her quite amusing, once I noticed similarities between her and Vulcans (constantly talking about percentages and logic). I was actually rather touched with her final scene towards the end of the game.

(I did think she looked a tad goofy singing, though ;) )

So the digital laws of Germany apply to the entirety of Europe?

It's because NoE is based in Germany. Their servers are probably also based in Germany so they have to abide by local laws. They'd have to move their servers to another European country to avoid this problem.

That's a rather reasonable and rational fact based conclusion... nah, Nintendo just hates its fans.
