I don't see any reason why you can't start now.

As for me, I'm skipping Ghoulies 2 (for the time being.  I might come back to it at a later time), as it's a movie that looks like utter trash and I'd probably have nothing good to say about it and likely no interesting way to say it (especially because I have several good games right now I'd rather be playing).  Honestly, I came pretty close to that with Labyrinth.  Because of that, though, I'm obligated to watch Raptor Island so I'd better get cracking acquiring that (sorry, I don't enjoy watching streaming video over the internet if I can help it).

EDIT: Buuuutttt it looks like I'll have to since my usual sources don't seem to have it.

Hoo-boy! Looks like CGI from games in the early 90's. When was this made?...2004...wow.

What is up with the camera work in this movie? Everything is more shaky-cam than Blair Witch Project and shots are at terrible angels. What are they trying to do, make me sick?

I'll probably check it out tomorrow night after I'm done dealing with the whole "Father's Day" thing with my folks.  Would have done it yesterday, but I needed a day to recover after 2 13-hour work days on Thursday and Friday that just completely drained me.  After Monday, it's going to be hard to squeeze just about anything into my schedule since my new 360 arrives that day and I'll be spending the next several weeks gaming the hell out of Tales of Vesperia and Alan Wake, just for starters.

Of course, considering my own movie is on the rotation next week (the Rocketeer) and it's actually an enjoyable movie, I will definitely make time for that.  :cool;

So...anyone have a streaming link (besides Netflix, which I'm not a member with) to this movie that actually works?  I went to the second link, and I was only able to watch the ads.  When it came time for the movie to start streaming, nothing happened.

its really sad when a group of people try to make a clone of a movie made in 1994, and it still doesn't look as good

better rendering exists on a video game system....in REAL TIME

Well, guess it's my turn to start watching...

0:01:41

Dear God, I've done better special effects in my first semester College After Effects class.  It's so obviously a toy plane being dangled in front of a green screen while "lightning flashes" (also known as quickly raising the brightness of the image for a split-second while inserting a "thunder" sound clip) over the image.  What, did The Asylum (website) make this cheap Jurassic Park knock-off?  And, incidentally, what an exciting intro, consisting entirely of credits super-imposed over a rotating shot of said plane until an N64-grade explosion erupts from the wing as the After Effects Lightning effect strikes it.   ::)

I'm already starting to wish I'd watching Ghoulies 2 instead.   ;)

EDIT:

0:04:44

Yes, it's another terrible toy model posing as a real location, this time a boat.  What strikes me here, though, is that this gunfight would actually be kind of decent if the editor wasn't constantly quick-cutting and the cinematographer used a steady cam instead of this obnoxious "shaky cam" constantly rocking the image from side to side.

0:08:40

Ok, stop cutting back to that goddamn timer on the terrorist's boat!  Seriously, why is that timer important considering no one is still on the boat?  Yes, the SEALs are blowing up the boat with the missiles on it, though why I can't fathom considering the terrorists abandoned them.  You'd think it would be more efficient just to confiscate them and send them back to base rather than using explosives to destroy an entire boat.

And I love, by the way, that all this just happened to be taking place just off the coast of an island with dinosaurs on it.  Ok, we're not ripping off Jurassic Park...we're ripping off The Lost World.
