Topic: Special Edition Switch Consoles

With the recent release of the Super Mario Red & Blue special edition switch it is time to weigh in on your favorite cosmetic alteration of the Nintendo Switch. I left out the special editions that just had different colored joy-con. Here are some pictures of each:

• No. I bought mine at launch so regular, pleb Switch for me.
• No, not franchise specific. I like new colors more than franchise specific special edition consoles which is why I usually don't pay any attention to them. I don't particularly want my console to be tied to a game or IP.
• The Tales of Symphonia GameCube even with Lloyd Irving's dumb face on the disc window dealie. The color was *chef's kiss*
• For Switch? I don't believe so.

Should include an option for "I customized mine!" because there are a lot of great and easy to implement custom mods that seem quite popular.

I picked Rise since I love MonHun, though I won't be double dipping on a console just yet. I'll grab the pro controller instead for this theme.

I do like the Pokemon Sword/Shield one, but would have preferred it in a full size switch. I like the colors of the buttons and sticks.

I don't own any special edition consoles, and don't really look to buy any.  I enjoy seeing them because many of them looks quite nice, but I don't really want to see any one franchise get one in particular.

My favorites are the Mario Red and Animal Crossing Switches.  The red casing on the Switch itself is really nice to see since it's the only time outside the Lites where they've done that (so far).  Plus, that shade of red is fetch af.  The Animal Crossing Switch has the prettiest Joycon of all, and I love the art on the dock.  The full paint job those two give to the dock put the rest to shame, imo.
