Switch Software Version 20 Now Available, Adds Virtual Game Card And GameShare Support

The function allows for lending of software or DLC to other members of a family group, or for easy sharing between two Switch systems without one system being online constantly. A full guide to the Virtual Game Cards is here.Functionality for Switch 2 related to GameShare and a transfer option was also added in the update, along with the ability to transfer multiple saves simultaneously. Cool update I just wish you could lend games long-distance. Seems you must be in the same room.

Given what the update is addressing, it might have something to do with how many games you have downloaded from the eShop. I barely use my Switch for digital games, and it handled the update just fine.

I don't have a ton, but I do have some. From what I've seen it's also OG Switches being impacted and not Switch Lite or OLED Switch. This is the first time I've ever had a system update do this
