I dont think $300 is worth a console with a few good games and a 3 year life span vs a 400$ more powerful console with the promise of hundreds of games and 5+ years of support.What do you guys think iwata will say during the investment meeting? I have a wii u that i can return to the store and mow im debating if i should even though im enjoying the few games i have. Especially since i heard a rumor that watch dogs is cancelled for the wii u. Should i return the system and put it towards the ps4?Obviously, you should.
Game consoles are not about enjoying games, no sir.
They're all about what Iwata (thanks) will say on investor meeting.

Adrock let me explain it so you can understand. With the wii, was releasing just dance make you as a hardcore nintendo gamer happy? NO Yet it sold like hotcakes and help make the wii successful. Now, was there games that made you happy as a nintendo fan? YES mario galaxy, metroid prime 3, xenoblade, etc .

Is wii u incapable of doing that? No but this nintendo direct did nothing to prove that.
Just cuz u love nintendo doesnt mean u should be blind when they make bad decisions. You have the right to expect the company you back with your money to make you excited for the investment you made

The list i wrote was what would make me happy about the nintendo direct, not the list of things that would make wii u a success.
By metroid 4 im talking about a mainline console metroid. Not a handheld sequal.

This was not a video showcasing info from a company whos fighting for the existance of their home console. It was a video from a company whom seemed to ignore the facts of their situation and showcase software that is the bare minimum required for a consoles existance.
I was ready to cry out in a chant if they showed ANY of the following:
A proper HD mario (not a handheld sequal)
Zelda wii u video
Metroid 4
Majoras mask 3D
Starfox
Mariokart with other nintendo characters (like link and kid icarus)
N64 games on virtual console

Loved the episode!
I love hearing about sales numbers and the console wars whether its positive or negative because it tells us about our outlook and changes etc.
I often read people saying "no one knows what the wii u is" and i thought that was an exageration until my own coworker asked me if i play 360 or ps3. I said wii u. He said oh that controller thingy for the wii? How does that work with the wii games? AND HES A ZELDA FAN! I couldnt believe it. Nintendo is sucking soooo much on marketing and releasing games.
When ps4 came out i was soo excited cuz it was a shiny new thing crazy graphics potential, etc. (killzone looks amazing). When wii u came out i didnt feel like that. I didnt feel like "NINTENDOS NEXT GENERATION SYSTEM IS HERE AHHHH!
Dear nintendo, i DO care about graphics! Id pay hundreds for a graphical powerhouse zelda and metroid dammit!
Keep the 3D world games on 3Ds. give me graphical power house mario galaxy 3 or mario 64 2, metroid prime 4, zelda melt my faceoff gannon crazy graphics game, and a few third party heavy hitters. Then your wii u will sell. AND MARKET YOUR DAMN CONSOLE. fyi your loyal fanbase isnt 5 years old and doesnt give a **** about USING THE GAMEPAD TO HONK YOUR HORN

When the mainstream load up yahoos main page and see "sony and microsoft unveil the next generation" thats what perception they will have. It will devalue nintendo.
As a hardcore nintendo fan im happy with nintendo directs which cut out all the mumbo jumbo, but as to the success of nintendo, i want to see them pull every stop to get themessage of the wii u out there.
E3 would have been key in rebranding the wiiu to make it relevant to the rest of the population.
