Xeodrifter has been announced for the Nintendo 3DS eShop.

Developed by Renegade Kid Studios, Xeodrifter is a metroidvania-esque plaformer that puts players in a role of a space traveler who finds his warp drive damaged. After landing on a cluster of four planets, players must search for the right tools needed in order to repair the drive and send him back into space.

The game, originally inspired by a 2D "demake" of Moon Chronicles, will use 3D elements with NES-inspired graphics.

Xeodrifter was unveiled via a developer diary posted on GoNintendo, where the logo and first screenshots were revealed, along with further details behind the games development. No release date has currently been set.
