Man, I just spotted the wait-wait-don't-tell-me segment that's up there. That hyped me up! I can't wait!

At least you've done some podcasts before, Broodwars. I'm making my podcast debut on the Eurocast. Live. To hundreds of people. Terrifying.

Other than that, you guys are in for a treat. I was a listener for the past two telethons, so it's interesting for me being on the other side now. Needless to say, we've got some great guests lined up. I won't say anything, because it's all still up in the air, but if you listen to a lot of video game podcasts, you might be hearing a few familiar voices.

And then Child's Play would run like hell from the show and there'd be no reason to do it.

An hour of euro-related gaming in the telethon? Colour me interested.

Using the term euro-gamer without including Greg is like Pink Floyd without Roger Waters. Here's to an hour of A Momentary Lapse of Reason! Woooo!! At least I hope that Greg is doing better than Waters solo career....

Just had a Practice/working session on the Wait Wait segment.  Some interesting changes and inherent tweaks.  Exciting times.

If you haven't caught the Twitter and Facebook announcements, here's a quick update:
- Donations are live, so you can donate early if that's more convenient.
- The topic list and schedule are now up on this page. This can and will change as we continue to nail down all the details leading up to the event.
- Special guests are being announced one by one. We've already got 8-4 Play, Craig Harris, Phil and CJ from Player One Podcast, and Brad Shoemaker from Giant Bomb. And we're not done announcing guests!

All of this goes up on the telethon page as soon as it's announced or changed, but you may not realize the page has been updated if you don't follow us on the social networks. So I'll try to post about the big announcements here. Look for another huge guest on Friday, and we'll have prize lists going up over the weekend.

As always, we would greatly appreciate your help in spreading the word about this special event.

I will be contributing when I can (after the bill cycle this month), but to anyone new to this site, linked here by 8-4 play, etc., the radio trivia and nintendoaire segments that they do are PHENOMENAL, so that is something else to look forward to and encourage you to contribute.  Please check out previous radio trivia episodes or connectivity segments w/ nintendoaire.  They're a treat!

Good news, everyone! We've already passed $500 in early donations (which is AWESOME!) and that means we'll definitely be doing the second hour of the telethon: A Decade of NWR's Game of the Decade, Metroid Prime. And I'm even more excited to say that Garnett Lee, who practically invented gaming podcasts as we know them, will be joining us for that segment! Garnett is a personal hero of mine, and I've wanted to get him on RFN for many years. This is going to be even better. And he has specifically requested that we take some live calls during that segment, so you can talk directly with him about Metroid Prime (and maybe some related things).

I am disappointed that Greg won't be able to make the live podcast. I will still listen to it, but it won't be the same. I am sorry that my financial situation won't let me afford to donate though.

PayPal is definitely the only way to donate through our event. I checked the CP website, and it refers to a text message option, yet the information on how to do so seems to be missing. However, they do sell Child's Play t-shirts and greeting cards with proceeds going to the charity, so you might have more options through that web store. Of course, PayPal lets you use a checking account or credit card, and they don't take a cut since Child's Play is a registered non-profit. The ChipIn donation tracker is the only recommended method for collecting donations per Child Play's event guide. However, you can send a check directly to Child's Play via this address:

If you do so and want to use the canceled check as a receipt for tax purposes, their tax ID is 20-3584556.

I really REALLY loathe that I'm having to work this weekend. I'll be able to catch a little bit of the fun in the morning before I head off to work, but I'll be missing the majority of the shenanigans. Blast it. :/

I decided to check this topic because it was on top of the page so much and I just noticed that it is the same day that Season 3 of MLP:FIM airs only a few hours after the premire airs. I see the first page me being offered to be on here to talk about the show but I probably can't since I don't have skpe and or a mic. Also dispite my loud voice on the internet I have a quiet one in real life.

Besides the content of the podcast shouldn't matter much because this is for charity and you should donate regardless.

I would love to call in and be heard on the show, but the mic on my computer sucks. I now last year there were some callers with bad mic quality though.
