Holy fucking **** Freddy Krueger in Mortal Kombat! That's so fucking awesome. I just finished story mode last night...fucking great game. I was just about to post the video here...but I have been beaten to the punch.

Indeed, that announcement came completely out of nowhere, and he's a fitting character to be in a gruesome fighting game. It's unfortunate that that these DLC characters (and Kratos) only have a use in Vs. mode play.

As for DLC character pricing, $5 isn't too much to me if there's a real story mode to go with that character, and you're not just buying a Vs. mode Move List. Unfortunately, outside of probably BlazBlue I don't think fighting games really do that. Without a real SP component to the character, I can't really see myself purchasing a character DLC for more than $2.50.

And who would really purchase all 12 of those UMvC3 characters if they were DLC? I only see probably 5 max that I would even care about enough to purchase at the right price. It's not Capcom "passing on the savings" if it's money you wouldn't have spent anyway.

Every tournament player. I'm under the impression that most people don't buy fighting games for the single-player experiences!

Here are my favorite bulleted points, pasted:

• There will be some element of character customization in SFxT in regards to their looks. This will be announced in the future.

• DLC costumes are in the development stage and there will be lots and lots of colors.

• You'll see a lot of guest cameos in the stages, and the fighters back there won't just be doing the fist pumps you're used to, they might be re-enacting some scenes and other storylines you're familiar with.

• SFxT will have the same voice system as in SF4 where you can select the English or Japanese voice actors in the menu.

• Ono only wants to do something with the Wii-U if they can take advantage of the unique stuff it offers, he doesn't want to do a straight port.

• SFxT backgrounds will have all sorts of nods to the community in them, including Ono's Blanka toy. There's a lot of wackiness in this game, it doesn't take itself seriously.

• Ono won't make a new Rival Schools game before making a new Darkstalkers title. He said he wouldn't even mind being fired if he could get a Darkstalkers made before he was.

Does anybody actually want paid DLC costumes? These are some of the most stupid DLC items out there, especially since they rarely (if ever) have any actual effect and are purely aesthetic.

I do hope the Wii U gets the game, maybe they could do a Game of the Year Edition and feature of the DLC released up to that point.

I think they must sell okay since SSF4 has like 3 or 4 sets now. I bought a couple of the full sets when they were like half price on deal of the week. You can see them when other people use them online if you haven't bought them yourself, which is kinda cool.

Don't you have to download compatibility packs for that though? Or is that only for DLC characters? I know some fighting games require you to download compatibility packs to see DLC content online if you haven't bought the content yourself.

You might rethink your choice of words. Some of us might be offended by what amounts to little more than a derogatory term for an otherwise beautiful group of individuals. Unless of course you want to throw "******" and "***" in there as well?

It is a very offensive term to those of us lumped into that group. Transexual is fine. Thanks for your understanding and compassion in this matter.
