I was always interested in this idea but was busy with some other stuff. Better late than never I guess and now that the number of songs has been reduced a bit, I can actually listen to them all before voting. So here we go:
08B - I'm not sure if it is better song but after having listened to the the Mario theme for so long, it's hard to appreciate or care about it. It's different, it's interesting, it's new. That said,
11B - Tough match-up but the Chrono Trigger theme song is an incredible piece of music. Looking at the rest of the songs in Division 1 and 2, I think this song will make it to the finals.
17A - I know S-U-P-E-R would like to kill all Zelda's. I'll vote against a Zelda if the other song. Unfortunately, Duke Nukum is not a better song.
30B - My winner of Division 2 prediction. It's not a perfect song to me. There are some parts I don't care for, yet, after listening to it, I wanted to hear it again. It's different and it left more of an impression that Use Your Head. Get's my vote.
34B - Nothing against 8-bit music but it can be hard to compete against a more orchestral piece especially when the 8-bit song is rather short and a simple loop compared to a 4 minute song that is constantly changing its sound. I don't think it is the best Metal Gear Solid song. For that, I'd vote Snake Eater Instrumental on Brawl.
46A - Yeah, favorite song of Ocarina. I'd like to just go and stand by the bridge even though I couldn't get across simply to listen to this track for awhile. Always hated when night would begin to fall and cut it off. The Punch Out fight music is iconic enough and there are better versions out then the link but compared to Gerudo Valley, no chance.
53A - I'm surprised at how well I remember this song. But I don't remember really digging it before. But now, listening to it alone, I do. Again, I think there are better Phoenix Wright songs out there but this isn't a battle of what could be, it is a battle of these chosen songs. While I did enjoy Conflict of Interest, these were two different styles of songs, one slow and ponderous, the other upbeat and cheery. I went with cheery.
60A - Of the different versions of the Dark World theme I've heard, never have ever sounded as good as the original song on the SNES. It just seems to hit the right notes. I loved humming along with it while playing the game and listening to it again after some time since my last playthrough it still sounds fresh. While I do enjoy the circus carnival sound of Song of Storms, I can only take it in limited doses. Dark World theme could play for much longer before I'd get sick of it.
~ Fixed the first pick (it's 08B, not O8B)
