Not Survival Instinct, but the other Walking Dead game.

A listing for "The Walking Dead Combo Pack" has appeared on the website for British game retailer GAME which appears to indicate the award-winning series from Telltale may finally come to the Wii U.

The package is listed as "GOTY Season 1 And Season 2", indicating that it would contain all of the episodes of Seasons 1 and 2, as well as the bridging bonus episode 400 Days. It is listed at a preorder price of £29.99 and with a release date of October 30, which is a valid UK release date as the last Friday of the month.

Walking Dead's 1st season was a critical and financial success, including winning the last Spike TV Video Game Awards Game of the Year in 2012. It is presently available on PC, iOS, Android, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation Vita, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.

It's a pity that Wii U-only owners can't have the only Telltale game that actually works instead: Tales From the Borderlands. Still, Walking Dead isn't the worst consolation prize: they could have gotten Game of Thrones instead.

Had I not recently bought and started playing through the Vita release of Season 1, I would be rather excited. As it is, this rumor is just too little too late.  (Also, TellTale is one of the worst developers around. Their console games consistently seem to perform poorly. I don't trust them to do a decent port to Wii U, quite frankly.)

I played some of the first episode. Strong Bad and The Wolf Among Us are my favorites by Telltale.

just because a game is overrated doesn't mean it's a bad game! geesh.

Out of the telltale games I've played, The Wolf Among us & The Walking Dead Season 1 are tied for favorite.  But I question how well it'll run on Wii U when they botched the Wolf Among Us S1 on PS3 (horrible load times, stuttering, freezing).

Walking dead worked ok on PS4, but still had some stuttering occasionally.  I question how well this'll work on Wii U.

TellTale are terrible at getting games to run well on any platform. They tell stories, they don't code flawless games.
Set your expectations very low.

I won't be getting whatever version on the Wii U, so I have the best kind of expectation - no expectations.
