To be fair, I reported the post and said I wanted to close it, but I wanted to make sure there was agreement on that decision.

I've been busy most of the week, but if I'd been here I'd have voted not to lock it, at least at the point it was locked. I don't feel like it needed it. It certainly had the potential to go that way, but I don't think we should be locking threads just because they might at some point need to be locked. I don't believe in preemptive strikes.
Also, this is probably neither the time nor the place, but is there a reason the email telling me somebody reported something for moderation doesn't have the reported post in it? I got UncleBob's report, but I didn't have time to check the forums and wanted to know what he was complaining about.

I don't see "Death of FBI's #1 most wanted terrorist" on that list of undiscussable topics
unless it's just because the President made the order, that qualifies it as politics and since OBL was a muslim extremist, that makes it religious and the fact that vudu felt the need to close it when nothing was wrong (& every other mod let it be) is "ghey" and that constitutes sexual orientation. Then I understand, because that would be a violation of all 3. Not that I care anyway since the conversation was already over.

That thread was political because it contained too much "America **** Yeah!!". Everyone has been bashing America like a red headed step child for the last decade making it the "Norm". America **** Yeah!! is unacceptable on NWR.

Photos aside, there was a lot of talk in regards to foreign policy and such that was political speech.
