BnM:  Young Justice Season 2 is really great.  It is a huge change in the show...but the end will make you angry...Cartoon Network cancelled show when it really needed a Season 3.

Chance for Netflix to ride in on a white horse and save the show?

S2 is supposedly coming to Netflix this year, according to people in the review section and a google search, but I couldn't find anything concrete. Sounded like it was supposed to happen already, but it hasn't happened yet. so who knows.

Not to steer the subject away from YJ and DC, but...
I kinda want Marvel to steal a few big DC animators and get to work making some quality Marvel cartoons. I like the DC animation, but I'm not terribly familiar with too many of their characters outside of those very animations I like to watch.

Is Avengers Assemble any good?

It's so-so. I've watched about 5 episodes and think I might jump to the Ultimate Avengers films instead.

Wet Hot American Summer is getting an 8 episode "sequel" that involves ALL of the original cast.

Bradley Cooper and Paul Rudd on board. Filming has already started.

and no, the original movie is not up for streaming.... I'm sure that will be fixed at some point before the series premiers.

I'm pretty sure that movie was available on Netflix streaming not too long ago, so it's weird that it's not now given this.

Marco Polo is on my next new show to watch.

I hear the show far surpasses the mediocre reviews it's been getting.

I don't watch much critically acclaimed TV save for Game of Thrones so I don't know what they're looking for in terms of style and content but every one I've talked to at least liked the show. They might not be gaga over like me but they enjoy it.  The one thing that even the critics agree on is just how beautiful the cinematography is. Stunning! easily the best looking show there is.

You think Netflix is about to announce a new season of Arrested Development?

I thought that was a rather odd category to pop up on my Netflix.....

The Interview coming to Netflix (DVD) on Feb 18th, 2015
http://money.cnn.com/2015/01/20/media/the-interview-makes-40-million/index.html

and up for streaming this saturday?

Quote
Remember when "The Interview" was almost scrapped by Sony Pictures? Well in little less than a month, the film has hauled in $40 million through on-demand rentals and another $6 million in theaters.
And now it's coming to Netflix.

On Tuesday Netflix announced that, starting on Saturday, the scandalous Seth Rogen comedy will be available to its subscribers in the United States and Canada.

The terms of the deal were not disclosed, but it gives Sony another revenue stream as the studio aims to break even with the movie.

Netflix Kids is reviving Inspector Gadget & Danger Mouse

http://www.usatoday.com/story/life/tv/web-to-watch/2015/02/25/exclusive-netflix-orders-reboot-of-inspector-gadget/23968171/
Quote
Attempting to reach more kids — and their parents — Netflix has ordered five new kids' shows, including remakes of the beloved animated television series Inspector Gadget and Danger Mouse.

Netflix has picked up the rights to an updated Inspector Gadget, the 1980s cartoon about the bumbling bionic private eye. Produced by Canadian television company DHX Media, the new series has already aired on broadcast television in Europe, but will premiere exclusively in the USA on Netflix in March

Inspector looks like cheap 3D animation, but so does a lot of the cheap 3D animated kids shows and movies.... so it should fit right in.

What does Netflix mean in their little questionnaire?

To put it in context, I recently had Unfriended on DVD (don't bother) and they asked me what I rated it. I think I marked it 2 stars but can't remember (why can't we do 2.5 stars?). Once I rated it, it asked me the question up above.... what does that even mean?

Netflix has done away with preferences. Apparently the only way to teach it what you like now is based entirely on what you watch and what you rate. This wouldn't be so bad except for a couple of things. Now when you click on a title, show or movie, even just to rate it for preferences sake, it starts playing automatically. So in order to prevent Netflix from using movies you were just down rating as preferences you have to manually go into Recently Watched and delete the movies you were only rating. Very time consuming.

The second problem is without the taste preferences you can't get the custom rows as easily now. When you watch a show or movie it remembers what row you used to launch it, so for example you are trying to trick it into creating a row just for 80's now and you spend all day watching different movies from the 80's you have to find them in different rows, some comedies, some action, some horror, etc. Well under the old system you could just tell it Often under 80's in Decade preferences. Well If I launch an 80's title I found in teen comedies, it doesn't register I am trying for an 80's theme, it see I "like" teen comedies and creates a new row with more teen comedies, but it assumes I am a teen and shows me stuff released recently. Very annoying. It was always a pain in the ass to find what you wanted but with taste preferences it was easy to customize, not anymore.

I sat through Crocodile Dundee, Bill N Ted, Masters of the Universe, and about four or five other random 80's movies this past week trying to get that 80's row back I used to have under the old system. No luck. Now I am seeing stuff like Revenge of the Bridesmaids "because of your interest in Full Metal Jacket." what is the connection?

This isn't specifically related to Netflix, but it benefits those trying to use Netflix internationally.

Opera (for the computer) has a FREE built int VPN that seems to work more than well enough w/ Netflix
http://www.opera.com/developer

It's in the Developers Version, and more countries are supposed to be added soon, so I'm dropping this in here for anyone looking to test it out, and to remind myself in the future should I ever need to use it.

You Like Goonies? The 80's? E.T.? X-Files? Steven Spielberg's classics?

You looking for a new show to watch, and have Netflix?

Quote
A love letter to the supernatural classics of the 80's, Stranger Things is the story of a young boy who vanishes into thin air. As friends, family and local police search for answers, they are drawn into an extraordinary mystery involving top-secret government experiments, terrifying supernatural forces and one very strange little girl.

I'm only on ep 4 of 8, but I think Netflix has another winner here....
