GUI, thanks for covering CastleStorm, I bought that game back when it released and LOVED it. Did you ever realise you can use the touchscreen to aim your ballista?
My only complaint about the game is I wish there wasn't an upgrade/level up aspect to it fit the same reason that even though I love fire Emblem I love advance wars more because I can't just level up my guys when levels get too hard I have to figure out (strategy wise) and/or get good to beat levels

I still don't understand how the 3DS doesn't have a virtual boy virtual console section

Xenoblade is my favorite game of all time so I have 1 question before I watch this video, Spoilers?

Isn't overnight and dropping off a cliff about the same thing?

Is this game really that good? I bought and LOVED Xenoblade (then bought it again on New 3DS), but Pandora's Tower didn't look or sound fun to me. Isn't it a rogue like?

Thanks ejamer and tophatant for the info. I might give it a try.

Nintendo should have continued the trend of Wii games being $10 the week of release.  They would have my money for both Kirby and Pandora's Tower already but since they're both regular price and I have a solid backlog of games to play, I'll wait and very likely end up not buying either.
I also with they'd have stuck with that. That deal caused me to buy all 3 during the original deal. I did buy the Kirby game, but only because I was able to sell my disc on eBay for $31 first and I'd rather have the digital copy for several reasons.

"All throughout August, classic games for hard-core gamers are coming to the Virtual Console on Wii U, starting with these Game Boy Advance RPGs"

You can't tell me that Xenoblade isn't going to arrive in August after today.  If they see NOE drop Xenoblade and then say the above message and don't give us Xenoblade during the month of August...words can't describe what that'll do.

AWESOME!!! Hopefully soon this article will be updated to say ditto for North America. I already own BOTH the Wii and New 3DS versions of Xenoblade, but it's my all time favorite game so I wouldn't hesitate to download it TODAY.

As for the special editions...I regret not pre-ordering and getting the art on the Wii, but honestly I hadn't heard of the game so I didn't know any better I learned about it through listening to the back catalog of Radio Free Nintendo.

If the Wii U Bundle has a decorated Gamepad like the Wind Waker did I'll proably buy a new Wii U to get it, if not I'll get the game with the steel book and the posters.

This explains why I always liked Dream Land 2 better than any other Kirby game I've ever played. (I've played Adventure, Dream Land 1, Super Star, Mass Attack, Epic Yarn, Return to Dream Land, and Triple Deluxe)
Although Mass Attack comes in a close second.

Now that I think about it, I had a ton of fun with Pinball Land anyway, my point was it sounds like I need to play Kirby's Dream Land 3 and Kirby 64. Maybe I'll buy 64 tonight.

Are you kidding? I'm excited about the prospect of doing "whatever Nintendo decides to release"active. In the past it's never been a recent release which makes me less likely to jump on board. I think I'll be more likely to join in this way. Plus we'll be showing Nintendo we want more VC games because right after release a bunch of us that might not have bought it any other way will be suddenly buying whatever this game is.

I really appreciated Syrenne's comments on Xenoblade X (keep in mind that Xenoblade Chronicles is my all time favorite game) and Fire Emblem Fates (keep in mind that Awakening was my favorite 3DS game until Xenoblade 3D came out yes I double dipped and never regretted it)
I had lost my excitement for X and now it's back and I was wondering what to think about Fates and now I'm really excited for it (my only remaining question is if I can handle more than just the easy version as I tried the lunatic mode of Awakening, after I beat it on hard, and I could only beat the first level)

Thanks for the insights

Sorry about the change in font size, I copied and pasted Syrenne's name from the article because I didn't know how to spell it and I guess it killed it. I'll try to fix it here below.

TalkBack / Re: Splatoon (Wii U) Review
« on: June 01, 2015, 08:11:25 AM »
I feel like the only reason this game is getting a lot of attention and high scores is because there's no other games for WiiU right now. There's really only a fun little 4 on 4 online multiplayer to this game, that's it. There's really no story or campaign. I feel like it's really a $30 retail game or a $20 download game at best, and if there were a bunch of other A+ games coming out and available. This game would get a 6/10. I feel like everyone has drank the kool-aid. When did this become the standard for a 9/10 game?

Sorry man, but Neal isn't an "inflate the score because it's a Nintendo game" kind of guy. Of you remember he gave Mario Kart 8 a 7.5, and got death threats for it, but refused to change it. I'm thinking if Neal is giving it a9 it's a legit 9 for him. If it had been someone like Daan Koopman I'd wonder if maybe he'd played so many bad games lately that it's just him being amazed with a game that's not terrible (if you don't know what I'm talking about go look at the last 10 games Daan has reviewed)

Look everyone wants to talk about what determines if this game has enough features and modes. For me there's only 1 question. I bought the game at release will I, as a 30 year old guy, get $60 worth of fun out of this game. It's too early to tell for sure, but as of right now it looks like I probably will because I'm loving it and to top it off the shocker of all... My wife loves it and asks me to play the 2 player mode with her. How often can I say I played Nintendo/PlayStation with my wife? Right now I can

I almost bought this game several times, but ultimately didn't because I knew my wife wouldn't play with me (she hates monopoly) if I'd have known it had online I would have bought it. It there a decent single player experience?

I'll buy 1 or 2 of them. I wonder what that last game will be

So just to follow up on Nintendo's latest round of failure, I've been keeping an eye on my 1 nearest GameStops, my local Best Buy, and my local Walmart over the last few days. Of these 4 establishments, only one got any of this supposed Amiibo restock, and that Gamestop only got ONE Amiibo figure: an Ike Amiibo that was already reserved to a person whose pre-order was unfulfilled back in December. One Amiibo in my entire city. That's the extent of Nintendo's efforts, the culmination of their promises for the last few months. Pathetic.

That's correct, but keep in mind we can not criticize Nintendo the holy ones

How do you all hear about this?  I don't own a Wii U anyway but this morning was the first I heard of it.

We kinda stuck it on the front page of the website for at least two days.

I'm with Shaymin not only was it all over this site it was all over several sites and people at my work were talking about it. I can't imagine not knowing about it
