High Voltage Shows Off Conduit 2 SoundboardWii

Agent Ford tells you how he sees fragged people and is like a ninja. Repeatedly.

Every so often, a representative from a game sends you something goofy. Sometimes, that goofy something will entertain you a lot for longer than you'd expect. High Voltage's Michael Ford soundboard is one of those goofy somethings.

I'm not quite sure how lines such as "I'm a killionaire" and "Put that in your pipe and smoke it, Dad" have to do with Conduit 2's story, but I find it best not to ask such questions.

If you're feeling especially adventurous, try calling friends and see if they buy the fact that an apparent crazy person with your phone number is saying things such as "Damn, Andromeda is a stone cold fox."

Zach's Gaming Stuff: Dead Space 2Wii

One of the better Collector's Editions out there...kind of.

I'm a huge fan of the original Dead Space. That game did horror in a way that I hadn't seen done before in a video game. The music, the ambient noise, and some of the environmental triggers (like a trash can rolling out from behind a corner) really gave the the USG Ishimura an atmosphere that I loved/was terrified of.When Dead Space 2 was finally announced, I was of course thrilled - this would be a Day One purchase for me, no matter what the cost. Eventually, word came 'round of a Collector's Edition. Now, I'm a self-diagnosed "special edition" whore when it comes to video games (but not so much movies...go figure) but even so, I was a little leery about what was in the box...until I read about the Plasma Cutter. Sold. But does the rest of the bonus content make it whole? Let's find out...together.

Club Nintendo's Free Kindle Travel Pouch

by Jonathan Metts - 5:04 P.M.

Leave it to Nintendo to make a nearly perfect accessory for the Kindle 3, and provide it for no cost to loyal customers.

I tend to stockpile Club Nintendo "coins", as Nintendo of America's selection of prizes is generally of questionable value. It's not like we can choose from retro-style Classic Controllers (as in Japan) or cash in for Wii Points (as in Europe). NOA has stuck to posters, stylus sets, etc., with the only notable items being a pair of Game & Watch collections and the recent added, admittedly awesome Game & Watch "Ball" gaming system. Unfortunately, I have no nostalgia and little interest in Game & Watch, so the best prizes still aren't enticing.

Club Nintendo Rewards: Kirby PatchesWii

Not much to say here, but they're pretty cute little patches.

It took awhile, but I finally snapped up another Club Nintendo reward last week. Purely for the adorability (is that a word? It is now) of them, I decided to spend some of my hard-earned Coins on the Kirby Patches. There are two sets to choose from: Kirby and Prince Fluff, or two versions of Kirby in his transformed forms. I chose the former, again, because they're just so damn cute. The order took over a month to get here because they got lost in the mail, but after a call with a very nice Nintendo of America rep, I was sent a new batch that included a bonus patch that's not available on Club Nintendo, I assume as an apology.

Inazuma Eleven: Stand Up If You Love Football

by Karlie Yeung - 10:03 P.M.

I might possibly have grabbed the last English language copy of Inazuma Eleven in the whole of England. Rogue early shipment? I can't tell for sure. Nintendo has yet to issue information on this title in the UK, but further details will follow shortly. The game was released in the rest of Europe a little over a week ago, but strangely enough, Nintendo UK seem to have other plans.

It looks like football, but that is more of the overall goal than the individual actions. You drag with the stylus to direct your player and use the menu options to tackle and so forth when you collide with another player, much like an RPG battle. The outcome depends on the experience and stats of each player. There is plenty of walking around and talking to other characters in the RPG sections, and lots of short video clips, as you'd expect in a Level-5 title. It's like watching Bleach with English accents.

Pap the Disney Gamer's HighlightsWii

Just what is Pedro up to now?

As some of you may know, on top of being a video game fan, I am also a big movie fan, most notably a fan of animation. Disney animation, in particular, has played a big role in how I view the genre. I remember vividly watching the classics like Dumbo and Sleeping Beauty as a kid, and being enthralled by their music and animation.

So to make a long story short, I am also writing a column about Disney based video games called "Pap the Disney Gamer's Highlights", on the website "From Screen to Theme". Created and run by Brent Dodge, author of the Disney book of the same name, every day comes with an article by other writers based on different aspects of the Disney fandom. My column happens every Tuesday. What I do is highlight a different Disney game.
