The panel was held in what PAX christened the Wyvern Theater, a meeting room tucked away by the arcade room and retro checkout room. Here's a brief tour, along with requisite sarcasm.

Like any self-respecting Director of a Nintendo website, my first stop was Nintendo's booth. Surely it'll be a sizeable setup, with all of those Wii games from the last Media Summit, right? Let's have a look from one end of the booth.

We both had a couple of beers at a sports bar right next door, and now we're sitting around waiting for NWR ally Mike Sklens to arrive.

This video gives you a brief status of what's going on with us, and also gives you a taste of the sights and sounds - nay, the flavor - of Boston.

At GameStop, Freedom Has a PriceEditorialWii

Jon visits GameStop in search of a free disc and gets more than he bargained for.

Late last week I stopped in at a GameStop at a local mall to pick up Capcom's free Monster Hunter Tri demo disc. I stopped in on my lunch break, and thanks to several nearby schools the place was, predictably, a zoo. A large crowd is something I can handle, but what I have a harder time stomaching is the chain's borderline dishonest customer service.

Full disclosure: GameStop and I have a history. I've never made a secret of my less-than-stellar customer service experiences at several of its stores, and while I wouldn't say I have an axe to grind, I'll readily admit that I'm not a GameStop fan and generally avoid their stores like the plague. I pre-order from them only when they have exclusive swag, and enter their stores only when absolutely necessary. The brief anecdote I'm about to relate did nothing to alleviate my disdain.

Sonic and Me: Fanboyism, Brand Loyalty, and One Hella Fast Hedgehog

by Pedro Hernandez - 2:31 P.M.

During all of my childhood Nintendo ruled supreme. Both the NES and SNES provided some of the best gaming memories of all time. During the NES era, however, I also had a Sega Master System. I barely cared for it, even if I did play it with my sister and my cousins. Nintendo and Mario was where is at.

Then in 1994, I received a Sega Genesis as a graduation present. Why did I ask for it even though I was a huge Nintendo nerd? Because Sonic the Hedgehog 2 looked really, really good. It was the rare exception in which I wanted to play a non-Nintendo game so badly. I got the system and played the living daylights out of it. The music, the graphics, the character and the gameplay were unforgettable. Sonic the Hedgehog 2 was easily the most played Sega Genesis game at my household.

Fun With FaceezDS

In Faceez, you take a picture of your face, a friend's face, a celebrity's face, or a face that you draw on graph paper (the game's word, not mine), and then it is transformed into a "Faceez," which is an awkward-looking circle picture frame with arms and legs. The creature animates, and after you take the photo, you can watch as it performs a few standard animations, such as eating popcorn or reciting lines from a play. The whole trick to it is to properly line up the picture, which is easy thanks to the on-screen guides. Even if you screw up this step, you can still get amusement from watching someone's chin talk, so it's win-win.

We grows up, and we grows up, and we grows up.

Would you let this man run your website?

Is it March 7th again already? My, how the years fly by. Why it seems like only yesterday we were celebrating the 10th anniversary of the site, and here it is the 11th anniversary already. And of course, Nintendo World Report just keeps chugging along.
