Playin Games

Games = good.

Finally went to Blockbuster to try out some of the games that I've been thinking about purchasing. Unfortunately they didn't have Mario Party, but I did get to pick up some good ones that I have been itching to see. Beetle Adventure Racing (N64), Magical Lame-Ass Tetris (N64), Street Sk8ter (PSX), and Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (PSX). Only played the N64 titles so far, but I have to admit while resting my drink on Mickey's Tetris while I was playing Beetle Adventure Racing I was having a great time. Capcom, what the HELL were you thinking. Go make a fighting game! Anyways, it was nice to see BAR is a decent racing game. I like it a lot for the short time I was playing. I also picked up X-Wing Alliance (PC) today, and I am going to give that a spin as well on-line. If you have this game and wanna play...look for Agent Cooper using the force :).

64 Source goes buh bye

Sad but true. The 64 Source will be closing it's doors soon.

I'd like to wish the best to all who have worked on that team. It was a great N64 site, and it will be missed. I know how it feels to be on the staff of a sight that closes down. It's a sad sad day. This is what Max had to say about it all.

Yes, sad but true, the 64 Source is breathing it's last. Several of the people who made the 64 Source what it was have left us, a fact I haven't even had time to acknowledge online. While I have tried to maintain the website as much as I could (and have had some great support from our staff), I ended up posting more excuses rather than news, reviews, previews, etc. In light of all my increasing real life obligations, I have not had time to run the website. It's time to move on.

2 day Rollercoaster, and I'm back

First sighting of a DC and more!

Wow. The past 2 days have been absolutely N U T S. To say the least. Not a whole lot of N2000 news as of until now so all is good. One interesting thing though, I saw a Dreamcast for the first time today. Unfortunately, it wasn't hooked up yet. Tomorrow I will be seeing (and hopefully playing) and operational import Dreamcast with Sonic Adventure, VF3, and Incoming. I'd like to thank a local Software Etc. for having a demonstration event. Us unfortunate people that live in Brew Town have no import video game stores anywhere close. I'm excited to see it in action. I did hold the controller today, and saw the actual unit. First off, I want to say that everything is very...small. The controller looks rather odd, but does fit nicely in the hand. It just seems like a complete N64 knock off. This may be just me, but Sega's controllers always feel flimsy. I like the firm, balanced feel the N64 controller has. May be just me. Plus with a VMS and a Puru Puru Pack (rumble pak) it may be better. The dreamcast unit itself is small too, but sharp looking. We'll see how well Sega's new toy works later today. And now that Star Wars Trilogy Arcade is one of the launch titles, I may have to at least rent one :)

It's wacky. Really. Wacky.

I've been screwing with the page all day. I've been having a lot of fun with this program called Microsoft Liquid Motion. Pretty cool if you ask me. So if the menu frame kind of sucks for a while, please bear with the changes. But let me know what you think. If it loads to slow or doesn't at all. I'd appreciate it :) And if you're a webmaster check this program out. Pretty slick if you don't want to learn java...

Dat ta daaaaaa, daaaaaaaaa, daaa taadaaa daaa daaah..... That's the theme to Star Wars...get it?

May the force be with you this weekend! I would love to see Nintendo port this to the N2000. Especially if we can play it online! LucasArts has released a playable demo of X-Wing Alliance (27.8 MB). I found my copy over at BluesNews.

Billy's original ramblings that got what is now Planet Gamecube off to a start!

Welcome to the Page!

First off I guess I should introduce myself. My name is Billy Berghammer. I am a 26-year-old video game junkie. I decided to create this site, actually out of boredom. I recently lost my job, and had some time on my hands. I used to write for an extremely well put together Nintendo 64 web site called The Unofficial Nintendo 64 Headquarters. This page is in no part trying to emulate the success of that web site, but if it accomplishes 1/100th of it’s success I would be very proud.

Today's Blech. Site News

The first official comments from me relating to the site. It's the freakin' announcement of the century. Historical? Mmmmm...eh...not really.

~Building new site today. No shit eh? Decided to dust off MSFP98 and give it a spin with my free webspace. Looking for the stories I gathered for beginning of FAQ. Not much to work with yet. Looking for Graphics.

~Playing Castlevania 64 a lot today. Finally got thru the maze. I like the game a lot. There are some serious control flaws, and camera problems. But over all it is a pretty good game. I'm also thinking about trying to complete Banjo today too. Maybe throw in Zelda for the SNES. I'm Sick and I don't feel like doing anything :) .
